Stopped by Deering yesterday, spur of the moment, with my son who is an avid banjo player. The showroom was like a slice of heaven for him. The woman at the reception desk. Carol, was extremely friendly and encouraged him to play any banjo he would like to. He played most of them and loved it. Some needed tuning, but that didn’t stop him. There was a tour winding down in the room and the tour guide was very knowledgable and answered all of the questions thrown at him. Seems like a fantastic place to work! And they produce the best banjo in the world.

I’ve had my Deering banjo a year now and I like it. I took it to the factory and they installed spikes for me and did a very good job. I highly recommend Deering banjos.

A small group of us went to Deering’s recently for a factory tour. It was free, lasted about an hour, and it was led by a wonderfully knowledgeable and friendly woman. It was so interesting to peek inside the world of banjos and see how these beautiful instruments are crafted. Who knew that the country’s biggest banjo producer was right here in Spring Valley. I recommend this tour for any age.

I purchased my GDL while I was in Germany. The banjo is georgous to look at and produces sounds unlike any of my other instruments. The people at Deering actually sent me a wrench to adjust the action, even though I was overseas!
