Fernando’s Pizza

This place is awesome! I just randomly found this looking up pizza and it was down the street from where I live. It seems like a hole in the wall, but they have such great pizza and wings! I order from them all the time now. Forget about Pizza Hut and round table. Check this place out

Called 30 min after pizza was supposed to arrive and was told driver left 5 min ago ( Unilocal says we’re 6 min away). 15 min later driver shows up without a pen and cold food.
I would’ve left higher stars if I didn’t get the impression my pizza didn’t go out for delivery until I called to ask the status.
It was really disappointing to have to microwave freshly delivered food but ended up tasting good. Probably a better restaurant experience.

I’ve been eating this pizza for 10+ years, I feel bad I’ve just now gotten around to writing this review — First off, if you want «gourmet» pizza, e.g. ricotta, fresh basil, prosciutto etc, go to North Park — BUT if you just wanna mack a lack on some tasty cheesy goodness on the cheap Fernandos is it. Case in point, I had about 15 people over for UFC 3 months ago, and I ordered the huge 32″ pizza. I was a bit hesitant because usually the middle of a pizza that size in «soupy» or undercooked — but I bought it anyway. Damn, this pizza was DEVOUARED in 10 mins. It was so freaking good, the crust was not over cooked or too chewy and the middle was great too. I highly recommend ordering that for a big crowd. PLUS you support a mom and pop shop, which is important to me.

I do not understand all the comments about customer service. I feel they are so nice! Orders are always on time for delivery! To top it off the pizza is phenomenal!!! I just wish I discovered them sooner.

Wow.. Visiting family from out of town and wanted to sample the local pizza.. Checked Unilocal and saw Fernando’s was just around the corner so we gave it a try. Ordered one pepperoni & sausage pizza and one Hawaiian pizza.. We added their cheese stuffed crust to both.. AMAZING PIZZA!. . Piping hot, delicious, excellent quality toppings.. Absolutely wonderful experience.. . Would not hesitate to visit Fernando’s again

Good service and food. Only got 3 stars because the wings we got were realllllly tiny… looked like baby wings or something. Definitely was not worth the price. Despite the wings, the pizza was delicious.

The deluxe pizza with spicy Cajun and jalapeños is always soooo good! I always have the pizza delivered and it takes awhile because they are pretty busy — but the pizza is always very hot and fresh. Figure you have to wait if you want a great pizza so I just try and plan pizza day with a 45 minute wait included. The drivers are always pleasant and they are quick to take the phone order. Now that we found this place, we don’t order anywhere else!

Great pizza and even better price! Better than Da Boyz! I got a thin crust pep and mushroom, and when I picked it up I saw that I could have got it with a buttery crust! Dang! Next time! Will be back:)

Great tasting pizza in the spring valley area with great prices. The customer service is awesome. The lady that takes the order is super sweet and a joy to give my order to.

They have gluten free pizza which is way better in quality and much larger compared to Dominoes. They deliver as well! Everytime we call in their workers are very nice and helpful. They also have great deals! As far as pizza quality goes it by far the best in Spring Valley and much better than the commercial chains out there. Definitely recommend!!!

You can flavor the crust?! What?! I’m in~! I have only ordered delivery from Fernando’s and zero times have I been disappointed. The order is filled quickly and accurately over the phone and delivered well within the promised time. The pizzas arrive hot and ready to devour. The cheeses are aplenty and cover the pizza without compromise while the meats are guaranteed to be a present force in every bite. Now I am not necessarily a crust person, I eat my toppings, then the bottom, and rarely the crust. With Fernando’s pizza I am found at the end of my dinner having consumed every morsel available and lapping up the flavored crusts. Your choice of New York, Chicago, or regular styles is certain to allow everyone in your family the perfect pizza. The wings (bone-​in) tend to be dry and over cooked. While that is the preference of many, that is not mine as I enjoy juicy tenders falling off the bone and not smothered with so much sauce that it hinders the enjoyment of the wing. That being said, the only reason I am pulling from a four to a three star review is because I find the dried wings as unappetizing as crispy burnt bacon. Wait. That’s not fair. There is no such thing as bad bacon. So I ordered that on my pizza too~! But seriously, minus the crispy wings, this place is a certain staple in the households within the delivery area for years to come.

Horrible experience. We ordered delivery and they said it would take 20 – 30 minutes. I waited 50 minutes before I called to check on the order. (Keep in mind I live 2 minutes away from this place.) The guy was very rude and said «ya he’ll be there soon» and hung up. It took another fifteen minutes before they showed up. The delivery driver had no change so I had to tip him more than I would’ve liked to. The 2liter of coke I ordered ended up being a 2liter of Sprite. The pizza was mediocre, wings were warm and everything was definitely overpriced. It is 2 minutes walking distance from my house and I refuse to ever order from here again.

My brother took us here and swore it was the best pizza! Agreed ! Taste yummy and crust amazing!

Great pizza at a great price! The employees are super friendly and always smiling! I love that they deliver. The pizzas are always delivered hot and fresh. I’ve never felt like my pizza has been sitting around too long when I get it. YUM!

Food: 4 stars. Tried the thin crust Hawaiian pizza which was very good. The flavors were tasty and the crust wasn’t soggy. Rather, it was crispy and the garlic butter flavor was good. Also ordered hot wings, good but the hot isn’t hot so don’t be scared to order it… unless they decide to up the heat. I hope so.
Service: 4 stars. Delivery was very prompt which was great considering it was Super Bowl Sunday.
Overall, a great little pizza place with service to Rancho San Diego.

I have Been a customer of Fernandos pizza for over a decade, Im Glad to say they have never let me down! Their pizza is ways fresh and delicious and Theyre prices remain super reasonable and the service is fabulous too. I refuse to get any pizza from chains like dominos or Pizza Hut cause the quality and care isn’t there. I will always get my pizza at fermanados as long as I live in San Diego! Hope they stick around for a long time! My fave btw is the chorizo with jalapeño in butter cheese crust. You have to try it at least once :)

The crust was not thin crust but medium average thickness. The crust tasted good. The pepperoni and mushrooms were good, but the cheese was just average. It was a little bland and the texture was a bit grainy. I had the pizza with light sauce and the flavor was mellow.
It was a descent pizza especially with the two toppings and the price of $ 9 and change. The service was very nice and the pizza was ready quickly.
