THISGYMISHORRIBLE!!! Things were OK during the first few months of my membership here but recently things have turned awry. For some reason, the incompetent owner of the facility began falsely assuming that women were stealing the dumbbells in the women’s only workout room. As I have been working out diligently at this gym 5 – 6 times a week I have never seen anything missing. Imagine my surprise when I enter the women’s room and find that the dumbbells have been removed and replaced with signs stating that if any other weights are brought back into the room member services will be revoked. I decided to email the manager(ORSO I THOUGHT) at where members can contact for«any problems or concerns». After getting a phone call from the associated gym in Bergenfield Nj(which was by accident) I found out that this email account does not belong to the manger or anyone in general it’s there for show, according the the employee I spoke with. When I asked her how to get in touch with management regarding the matter she said there is no way to get in touch with the manager. When the women became fed up with the signage, I saw that there were torn down and weights were being brought into the women’s room again. Yesterday, I found out that the manager/owner(whatever) came back to the gym to remove all of the lighter weights and left everything 10lbs and up so women who typically use the lighter weights will not have them at their disposal either way. It is very disgusting behavior for someone who is supposed to be a business owner. If you live in Rockland County, go to PLANETFITNESS if you want to pay $ 10 and not deal with the BS.

Somehow my old review for Fitness II from two years ago was deleted and my photos were removed… how is that possible? I’ll try to rewrite it: This gym is terrible. My credit card was stolen and so my automatic monthly debit charge didn’t go through. Nobody bothered to tell me, and I was still allowed into the gym three times. Finally, someone mentioned that I never paid and I would be slapped with a late fee of $ 9. If someone had mentioned to me that my charge didn’t go through, I would have given them the new card, and avoided all of this. So… I ended up having to pay the late fee. I tried to leave a message for the manager to explain the situation but she never returned my phone calls. I called 4 times. I’ve heard horror stories about how she hangs up on customers. The gym is falling apart — holes in walls, holes in floors, broken dumbbells. The 5-lb dumbbells went missing and were NEVER replaced. EVER! There are rarely paper towels in the paper towel dispensers, and during the summer months it is EXCRUTIATINGLY hot and humid in the back room. The women’s bathroom is always disgusting. They removed some of the lockers, leaving exposed insulation and wiring. Also, one of the bathroom stall doors fell off. It was left off for 3 weeks and after that, a red curtain took its place. Also, the toilets are ALWAYS clogged with toilet paper or… poop. FYI — two friends worked out together in the morning and the manager CANCELED their membership because it seemed like he was acting as a «personal trainer» to her and that is «not allowed.» Both of their memberships were revoked. Ridiculous. UPDATE: Unilocalers beware. The owners tend to pose as customers here on Unilocal.I have been contacted by the owner asking why my review was so viciously mean and this is not the first time it has happened.
