Been here a couple of times and I’m glad that there’s a Filipino restaurant close to my work. Couple of times I’ve been there I noticed that they do not have sinigang baboy(favorite) but they have sinigang with chicken. :(The sisig and pancit is good and if you want shanghai lumpia minimum order is 25 pieces and it will be hot and fresh. I was told that the sisig was really good and I will agree with that statement. Even my non Filipino co workers loved it. Overall, this is a clean point point joint, the workers seemed all nice.

The food is good. No doubt it’s good and home cooked. Avoid the botox male Filipino server there he has sass. I indicated that I’m eating in. So he puts my three item food in bowls. In my mind how can I eat with the bowls? I asked kindly for a plate so I can eat it properly. I pointed at the to go plate since they are logically plates. He refused to give me one. He barks«I normally don’t give these out». Well if I asked it to go then he would’ve given me one. I don’t understand his sassiness. He has an attitude yet I gave a friendly smile cause I’m about to eat some good food. Not coming back anytime soon for as long as botox Bagets dude is there.

The food is really good. Haven’t been in this store for a while. The lady that serves food doesn’t even smile, sarcastic and gruff. She can be the owner. The rest of the staff were nice and polite. Probably won’t come back to the store. I don’t want to start my morning with grouchy people. Sorry but your food is really good …

Went here today for lunch. Called in my lumpia order. When i got there the nice guy went to the back and boxed it up for me. Waited no more than 5 minutes. It was nice and hot. The lady at the counter was nice. I believe she is the owner because she is there every-time I go. I will continue to eat here as they are always polite.

Solid filipino food, all the basics, pancit, lechon kawali(fried pork) adobong pusit(calamari adobo flavored), igado(menudo with liver), filipino style menudo and dinuguan(pork w/secret sauce heehee). As others said, they have the fried dilis(anchovies), fried chicken skins, and chicharon bulaklak(fried pork intestines). My faves is the dinuguan and all there fried stuff. Keep in mind after eating here you might want to buy a bottle of fish oil, but the food is all good in this hood! Peeps need to also recognize, they just opened a halo halo(literally meaning, mix-mix, which usually consists with shaved ice, flan, ice cream, jello etc together with evaporated milk) corner. It is a very common filipino food that hits the spot for a sugar crave. They also got Taiwanese shaved ice that is sooooo delicious. Worth the visit itself and the only place I know that serves Taiwanese shaved ice in southeast san diego. I gave this place an extra star alone for the desserts and cause its the only filipino food in my neighborhood :) Tip: most filipinos go here for there fresh pan de sal(bread that tastes slightly sweeter than salty, which is a common breakfast food in the filipino culture) get it, it’s good! Get the«poppin pearls» with your shaved ice…

Good customer service. The lumpia was made to order so it was hot and fresh. The Pansit was very good too. I wish there was a menu w prices & they list all they have to offer. Good food and portions are very big.

Love this place! My mom always orders the pan de sal when we have parties, the bread has just the right amount of sweetness and is never dry. Only had one issue with them when they didn’t warm up the bread correctly and we got left with semi cold bread with our order. The lumpia is yummy & the pancit as well. My favorite thing to get here is the siopao it’s pretty bomb. I def recommend this place.

Really I go for the desserts: turon, karioka, and ginataan bilo bilo(when they have it). The food is ok. Sisig has really good flavor, fresh siopao is tasty. I’ve had both their pancit canton and bihon and they were disappointing: overcooked and mushy. This place could be better but, like other reviewers have said, the customer service is lacking. Not friendly and they’re cheap. Portions are fine but, for example, they served me pancit that was sitting so long it was smushed together in the form of the pan, like it had noodle blocks in it you could cut with a knife(or spoon — you know you’re Filipino if…). And if you order to go and don’t ask, you’re not getting a fork. Then it’s like they’re put out to give you some plastic ware when you do. Come on, atey.

I came here after going to d produce store… I asked how much is the combo, they said its $ 7, but when I pointed sisig, they asked for an additional dollar… i said ok. there servings are way less than Tita’s or Conching and the rice is not well cooked cuz u I felt a lot of hard rice pellet in my mouth while eating…

5 stars for their food but their service is not that friendly. The typical angry Filipino face so don’t get butt hurt so easily unless they’re being down right rude. I love their hot pan de sal, my friend from the Philippines praises it too & she said it tastes just like how they make it back in the homeland! Cheese rolls are also my fav! They don’t hold back on the cheese inside the roll like other Filipino bakeries. They have traditional Filipino food, pancit bistek(beef steak) & so on. I took down 2 stars because they were they had a condescending tone with my mom when she was trying to pay. Other than that just get their fresh Filipino goodies and go

Let me start with… OMGTHEPORTIONSAREHUGE! So far, I’ve tried the pancit bihon, siopao, and the ukoy. All were great. Since there was a ten dollar minimum I did over buy, but I shared with coworkers and everyone enjoyed it. I will definitely be back but I’ll try to come back with cash. A small order of pancit(~$ 3.50) should be more than enough next time. The medium pancit is only five dollars!

This is my go-to spot for Filipino food! We always come here for lunch or dinner and use them to cater our parties. Price is right and they give very generous portions. The party trays of sisig, lumpia, pancit, lechon and pinakbet are always on point. The everyday menu selection varies daily so you never know what they’ll have, but there’s always something good to choose from. 2 item combo is about $ 7 and the party trays range from $ 30-$ 70 depending on size and item.

This place is so good! Service is fast. The restaurant is kept really clean and organized. The food is delicious might look a little foreign but its delicious! The staff is really nice they will answer what ever questions you have on the menu. I would try the menudo it is my favorite. To all my Mexicans its not the same as our menudo but it is just as delicious. Parking is great. They also had a large variety of baked goods and desserts!

This family owned bakery has kept the tradition of Filipino food alive with this bakery/Resturant. It’s definitely a far cry from the heavily populated Filipino community in national city, but they can hold there own with their sweet deserts and their standard Filipino main dishes. This place has perfected the art of cooking pork as well as beef for dishes like: Kare Kare, lechon Kawali, and beef stew. Those happen to also be the dishes my wife and I ate(our first time here) so it was only right to share that experience. Although this location is very convenient being right off the freeway it wasn’t convenient though that we had to wait so long that we needed to flag someone down just to get our order in. It was also very odd and confusing that on the main menu where all the food options where, There was no prices available. Like they purposely left them off. So you seemingly had to wait for you’re order to see what the price are. That’s if someone didn’t already give you attitude just for asking how much things were. So Once we got our food it was more than enough to satisfy my wife and I, including having leftovers. We got our two item combination meal with a side of lechon each for about $ 16. Not a bad price for all that food. Although, the meals had way to much salt in it, I still enjoyed it. Even though I had to pay for water, because the amount of sodium in the food left my mouth dry. But It still was a good meal. But ultimately the food is the only reason why you will come here so everything else can be ignored. The desserts are amazing and the food is traditionally prepared and good. It’s really Worth it if you can avoid any of the frustrations that can come with being here.

One thing Filipinos are great at besides billards and boxing(Manny Pacquiao) is cooking pork. Me being Filipino. We have perfected the art of cooking pork in so many ways. From roasting a whole pig until the pig’s skin is crispy yet flavorful. To cutting fatty cubes of pork and cooking it for two plus hours in white vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaves and pepper. Different ways to cook pork but it all equals delicious. On Paradise Valley road in Spring Valley is a Filipino bakery that has authentic Filipino breads, candies, can goods, etc. but the reason I go there is for the combination plates to go. This time I had sweet pork sausage and the other dish was adobo style pork, liver, bell peppers and peas. Served with two big mounds of rice. It is a lot of food for a small price. To be honest. I don’t know all the official names of every Filipino dish. I just ask what’s in it and go with that. I have never gone wrong yet. Great authentic Filipino dishes. The people are so friendly reminds me of my aunties and uncles. If your in the area. Give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Love this family owned bakery! + It’s near where I live so I don’t have to go all the way to national city to get my fix. Win win.

this place is located right in the middle of the paradise hills and spring valley neighborhoods. parking can be sometimes be difficult because of the few spots in the lot. It’s your basic cafeteria style filipino turo-turo(point-point) spot. their combo plate consists of your choice of pancit or steamed white rice and your choice of ulam(meat/main entre) and a bowl of broth. They usually have sisig, adobong pusit, fried fish, menudo, lumpia, okoy, and other familiar filipino dishes. All of which are pretty good. My only gripe is that they leave in the«bones» of the squid in their adobong pusit. My family and I usually go there for the dilis, or fried anchovies, which can be bought by quarter, half, or full pound increments. these are straight up addicting with vinegar.

Today was my first going to this place and despite the decent food, I was completely dissatisfied. The young lady who helped me was extremely rude and short with me when I asked her about the prices(which were not posted) and about the food selection. I am not too familiar with Filipino food but recently took a liking to their cuisines, hence my questions. I ended up purchasing lumpia but instead was given giant eggrolls. I will not be returning to this place as there are a lot of Filipino restaurants out here with way better customer service with just as good food.

Love this place! Definitely a go-to Filipino restaurant if you’re visiting from out of town or if you’re just looking for your Filipino food fix. Located conveniently right off of the freeway on my way home, I love getting my Filipino food here. They have the best pan de sal. If you come in during the right times(and if there are any left) they serve pan de sal hot out of the oven. Try it with peanut butter, it’s so good! If you come around lunchtime, that’s when they have EVERYTHING. So many options to choose from, be careful of hungrier eyes than stomachs! The prices are very reasonable. You can get a big meal to serve a small family for less than $ 10(assuming you’re buying a main dish). Some things to try are the pork sisig, the chicken sisig, dinoguan, menudo and the lumpia– SO good. Their bibinka, leche flan and turon are some of my favorite desserts. And, during the summer, they have some pretty epic halo-halos. Seriously, it’s your one stop shop for Filipino cuisine. I’m not sure if many people know this, but it is a family owned restaurant, who’s relatives own Filipino Desserts Plus and Lisa’s Filipino Cuisine. So some of the desserts are essentially the same family recipe you would be getting from a longer drive into National City, Mira Mesa, or Chula Vista. And about the complaints on the customer service: I think they must have either gotten rid of that employee or they have given them a talk, because I haven’t had any bad experiences with their service at all. Myrna, the cashier is always, smiling, cheerful and friendly even during big rushes. I highly recommend this restaurant!
