Cheap drinks, friendly bartender and Karaōke!!! Ken the KJ can make you sound great as those of you who have sang at Dock’s when Kenny was at the controls will remember. Yep, Kenny is now at Mike’s on Friday and Saturday nights! So if you have been looking for him… that’s where you will find him. Nice crowd of friendly folks. Pool table and dance floor. Bucket of beer is best buy. Come on by be good to see you again!

Discovered this place and decided to try it out. I met lisa who was a new bartender and she was very pleasant. She was busy but took the time to converse with me. Its a cash only so bring the green. Free beer tomorrow! ! The bucket of 4 is probably the best deal. no tap just bottles. but thats ok with me. Check em out

Love this place!!! It’s like Cheers! Everybody knows your name! Buckets of beer $ 11 for four bottles domestic. No draft beer, no worries! Dawn, the day bartender is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Jean the night Bartender during the week is FANTASTIC!!! Lisa, durning the weekend is also FANTASTIC. So friendly, and… heavy pours and cheap! karaōke on weekends is a blast! Pool tables, dart boards, keno etc. no other place in the valley can say that! One of the last GREAT dive bars in Diego!

I been here often but never ever packed or new people. It is really just like 10 regulars mostly. No food here either. I would not recommend this place at all.

This place is actually pretty cool if you get Jean as a bartender. She is freakin awesome and will even recommend some really good drinks that are her personal favorites. The reason for the 2 stars, however, is the brunette bartender with an attitude. I don’t know her name because I didn’t care to find out but if you go you will know. She behaves as if she is God’s gift to bar tending and has the worst attitude. We asked her for a drink suggestion like we did with Jean and she began to treat us like we were some unworthy alcohol noobs and she was an elite alcohol specialist. We came back several times to try and give her a second chance or to hopefully get Jean as a bartender and unfortunately it was still her and her horrible attitude. I will unfortunately not be coming back to this place because of her. Sorry Jean!

You have to have an appreciation for all that is Spring Valley to really get why this place is rad. Imagine what you’re average dive in Spring Valley looks like and that’s Mike’s, but here’s the kicker: You can bring your own food in! What? Drinks are cheap and the service is down-home good. Everybody knows everybody, and by your 2nd visit you’re family. I popped in w some friends who just bought deli snacks from Albertsons next door. Mike’s pulls zero punches. It’s a no frills Springer dive with all the amenities: Wrinkled pack-a-day’rs catchin a buzz, govt cheesers, locals, and lost souls. And where the heck is Mike? Who cares. A dusty karaōke system that plays only CD’s stands lonely next the pool tables. A really good deal is the Modelo Michelada Tallboy can for $ 4. If you wanna get dirty on the cheap and are in the area, this is your place.

This place is a super fun dive. I wish more people would check it out because it can be REALLY fun when there are more people. There’s one pool table, a small dance floor and kareoke… It’s moderately maintained, better for jeans and flip flops kind of night. Don’t bother to dress up. I’ve been here on several occasions and the people are always nice, drinks are stiff and no bar fights(from my experience). Come kareoke and dance and have fun!

Fun place. Bartender is super nice. Ask for her own recipe drink with cinnamon liquor. Yummmm Karaōke on Friday & Saturdays. Seems there’s more song choices on Saturday night. Pool table and books to read if ur not in a singing mood. Not super crowded typically. Nice chill place.

Very clean. Nice inside. Some shady people sometimes, but hey it’s in spring valley. Bar hopped from la Mesa to s.v. And hands down we had so much fun here!!! Great price on drinks! Bartender is a sweetheart and makes you feel like family. Karaōke too! My first time ever!!! This place makes you feel that relaxed and just good vibes.

Good times at Mike’s! Who says the nightlife is lacking in Spring Valley! I haven’t lived in Spring Valley for too long, and I definitely hadn’t ventured out much outside of my house, but one night we said«why not»!!! This is your typical neighborhood bar, and it seems most everybody knows each other. But it’s not unwelcoming at all, and the bartender is the sweetest. On Friday and Saturday nights they have Karaōke. Karaōke in the past would have never been what draws me into a place, but last time we were there, I sang Karaōke for the first time, and I must say I might be a little addicted. Okay, there are no beers on tap and it’s cash only(yeah, it’s classy that way), but seriously, you can’t beat a bucket of 4 «non-premium» beers for $ 10(«premium» is $ 12). You can’t! The place is clean, there is a pool table in the back and an ATM and there is a jukebox with an okay selection of music. BTW, if you are so inclined, you could also go while you do your laundry at the Laundromat a couple doors down. I’m not going to confirm or deny that I have done this, but if you have to go wash all your blankets/comforters, I don’t see anything wrong with this. Jus’ sayin’.

I myself, a friend and our 75 year uncle went down there to have a few beers and visit. We were not sure about this place but it was close by. When we walked in we were treated with great service, and free munchies, and not to mention a sale on domesitc beer all night long. The crowd was not to loud, and the juke box was just right. The place had a lot of people in it but it looked like we were all there for the same reason. Its a great non formal place for a get together with a very welcoming atmosphere.

This place is located in a strip mall between a clothing store and a bank. The whole strip is anchored by an albertson’s. Having said that, what type of bar do you think this is gonna be? I have only stopped in occasionally on my way home from someplace else. It’s not the type of place I call my palls and say, «hey, meet me at Mike’s». Why not? It’s super dead. Most times I’ve walked in there might be 2 – 3 other people in there, including the bartender. Those that are there are regulars. I’ve never had a bad experience. The bartenders are nice, the drinks are stiff and the price is cheap. It’s just a little slow. Occasionally I’ve walked into a crowd, but that was new years eve and memorial last year. It’s a neighborhood pub, and if it wasn’t in my neighborhood, I wouldn’t make a special trip to hang out there.

Well, Barry has managed to run off another customer who spends $ 150 — 200 a week. Tips bartenders $ 5.00 for a few beers. Hope you get your dick wet with this one. Julie needs to assert her voice in this. NO skin off of my ass.
