Sunrise Deli

I love the food here but never seem to get my order right. I went in a few days ago to give them a try again and it looks like they are trying to improve the training. Hopefully they can get it together soon because the food is great. I’ve been going there for years and just recently have they started messing up on my orders. They are accommodation and fix it, just sucks it takes two times to get it right.

Having not visited here for about 20 years, my son reintroduced me to it today and it’s pretty darn good! The turkey burger is good, but the turkey club is outstanding — thinly sliced and stacked turkey with avocado, tomato, and lettuce on grilled sourdough. It has a real NY deli feel, and the bullet holes add a nice touch too!

Great little place. It has been 2 years since I’ve been here. Plates are well served. I had the Philly cheese steak which was good. My husband has the Jose combo which was yummy and huge!

Ingredients didn’t seem very fresh, and the food was very bland even despite their overuse of condiments! Save yourself the money and go home and make yourself food.
On the plus side, the cashier was very nice.

Sad news!
This business was sold in 2013. Since then, they have stopped using fresh ingredients, they use lower grade meats, the portions are only about ²⁄₃ the size they used to be, the order accuracy has fallen, and the food just doesn’t taste good anymore.
Our family used to love this neighborhood hub. I think the best way I can explain the change is to tell you that back in the day, you could never pass this place without seeing a Sheriff patrol car, ambulance, or fire truck parked outside while the People Who Know got their food. Now, you could sit outside for a week and you’ll never see any first responders eating there.

Can’t complain about anything I’ve ever had here. I usually stick to the sandwiches. But husband loves their carne asada fries. Everything is always clean and service is very good. Good portion sizes as well. They don’t skimp on the avocado!

Food is AA+. Service AA+. Location, meh, like a C-​. Also there are bullet holes in the Windows. The while place really needs a makeover. Lol.
But we keep coming back because the food is really good. Any sandwich you get will be yummy.

Been in business for 32 years. That’s what the menu says. With that being said my expectations were set pretty high. With all the amazing deli’s in the county and those kind of bragging rights I was sure to have a huge savory sandwich or did we order the wrong items?
The Philly cheesesteak was mediocre, skinny as in where’s the meat and the gooey cheese strings when you bite away? The grilled onions were okay. It was cold. The fries were half heated up they would have been better if they were fried or cooked crispier. Not sure what happened.
The turkey avocado was skimpy looking too. The avocado and tomato slices were fresh, and so was the lettuce with a lot of crunch. However, they could have added a whole lot more meat in there. Chose the lightly toasted option but it turned out way toasted. It’s still edible, it wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t awful. The sandwiches could be made more generously but I guess that’s why it’s so cheap. The Mac salad was creamy and different with the bits of carrots.
The bonus was the free cups of drinks, side, and pickle (mine was broken in half) with your sandwich.
The parking lot is kind of funky and very tight if you have a larger vehicle it can be tricky. Looks like lunch time might be the best bet if you do decide to come here.

The first visit we were unable to order anything hot because their grill was broken. It was a cool day and we weren’t in the mood for deli sandwhichs so we decided to try another day. That day was yesterday. After waiting for our order to go for nearly 20 minutes, we finally received our food. There were several Sheriffs officers eating, so I figured they must be alright. Imagine my surprise when we got in the car and found BOTH the onion rings and fries were cold! I don’t mean warm or room temp, but actually cold as if it was cooked earlier in the day and refrigerated. What the heck was the long wait for if our food wasn’t going to be fresh? The sandwiches were just so-​so. They have a lot of things to choose from on the menu and the customer service was great. For that, I’ll try again another time and perhaps check our food before we leave to make sure its up to par.

Love his place. Was in the area for work and passed it a couple times. You know the unassuming places are the best. Unilocaled it and it got great reviews. You also know if law enforcement is eating there for dinner it’s good. The woman who I believe is the owner is very sweet and helpful. She smiled about everything I asked about. She was right, their burgers are go-​to and handmade. Delicious! Patty’s are hand patted and juicy! Slaw is tasty, long shreds and not too creamy.

3 stars for the order. We got the carnesada fries. They were ok. I’ve had better. They have really decent prices and my husband absolutely loves their sandwiches. I will have to try another dish next time.

2 stars. 2 freaking stars for this place. I used to rave and love this place. My dad used to take me and my brothers here every Saturday, and I used to order different things every week and loved it no matter what I got. The owners were always working there, and their family were the employees. You could always tell that they cared about their business and worked hard to make the experience, and the food, enjoyable.
Now that there are new owners, this authenticity and love put into the food is gone. Now the employees are not really that nice or helpful, and just want to take your order so they get their hourly pay. I am very disappointed in how this place has turned out because I have a lot of great memories from here that are going to fade.

Their food is out of this world everything you could possibly think of is on the menu homestyle cooking I will definitely be going again

Drove past this place for months, we finally stopped in to try it. I had #27 and she had #16. The sandwiches were good and the sides of macaroni salad and potato salad were tasty. We’ll come back and try the other sandwiches soon. I recommend this little gem to others.

I’ve always liked the friendly service and food but I rarely eat here because you can’t order a sandwich a la carte. Don’t get me wrong, the food has always been good and the service too but you have to get a drink and fries — no exceptions. Never heard of that before so I never go there unless there aren’t any other options, which means I never go there anymore. It’s difficult for take out when you’re buying for multiple people. I really have to carry 4 drinks? Even when I say I don’t want the drink, keep it, I still have to pay for it. Killing me. lol

Wow, after giving my 2^nd favorite deli a great review, I return to pure shame. From the get go it was bad. The cashier was having a conversation which I assume was not business related since no order was taken and she was giggling half the time. Maybe 2 minutes go by and she finally acknowledged me. (I was ready to order from the get go since I am a regular here) as soon as she took my order (Avocado Cheeseburger and a Vanilla Milkshake) she turned around and went straight to her phone rather than starting on my milkshake. My burger is finally ready (after 12 minutes which isn’t too bad even though I was the only person to order since I walked in) she says «oh, I need to make your milkshake. Are you serious? You had more than enough time to make it ! By the way, I was very nice the entire time as I always am .
And it gets worse. The milkshake was horrible. It had lumpy parts, then out of butt **** nowhere it goes down like water .
I look at my roommate and say, I bet this burger is going to be be bad. Well what do you know !! It was pretty bad ! Not even some of my dank marijuana helped me eat it. That says a lot !!!
At the ended of the day, you guys will remain at 3 stars for a loooooong time. 2 of my last 3 visits have been ²⁄₅ stars. Previous visit only the service was below average, food and milkshake were delicious.
Oh yea, I would come here more if the prices weren’t hiked so much.

Went there today, you guys are lazy as hell! Ordered a bbq sandwich and I come home to some half way jail house sandwich. if you ran out of bbq sauce say something! My sandwich had ketchup on into instead of bbq why would anyone want to eat it! Own up to it lazy cooks! Bring back the old staff or fire who made this sandwich. Drove up to alpine and embarrassed my self giving my buddy this sandwich

Whenever we visit a restaurant, the whole fam chimes in on what they would rate it. Everyone hollered 10 stars!
Even as we were inhaling our breakfast, we ordered additional items to go because it was just. That. Good. Service, top-​notch. I would most def come back: P

Been here many times, I use to always get their Brandy salad but over time I feel like quality went downhill. Salad is still good but usually missing something, if not one thing it’s another

This was a place to get a quick bite during lunch hour. With new management I’m not sure what to think. But not a fan of their new French fries :/​not sure ill be coming here much anymore for lunch
