Uncle Stewy’s Roadhouse

Best bar in the Illinois Valley. Stewy’s brings in the best live entertainment in the area. Everything from rock to country to stand up comedy shows. Stewy’s has the best stage setup around for live music. They are VERY involved with the community They sponsor, host, and produce events throughout the area. It’s a beautiful bar in a historic building in Spring Valley. Great beer selection. One of the previous reviews mentioned a lack of vodka choices? I counted 18 different vodkas the last time I was there. Not sure what she was looking for. LOL They recently worked out a promotion with the restaurant next door. Not only can you order awesome burgers & have them deliver them right to you, they offer a late night off menu breakfast sandwich that’s available ONLY to Stewy’s customers!
Over all, this is an amazing bar with a great staff, consistently awesome entertainment, and a great atmosphere. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

Great destination, live music, cold cold beer, plenty of things to see and do. I’ll be back again and again ! Also the home of the Illinois Valley fallen biker memorial wall… This is a great location for everyone!

I think Stewy’s is an okay place to drink. I would prefer to drink at bars in Peru or LaSalle most of the time because I think they offer more alcohol at better prices but sometimes I can’t drive out of town because there is no one to drive me home who is sober. But you know they say if you don’t like some place then don’t go there. This place is definitely a lot better than Knight Ryders because they offer more different types of liquors and have better special I think. There is a huge problem in Spring Valley with the bars not having vodka during the week and I find that really annoying. They have rail vodka but I don’t drink that stuff. I want to drink at least Absolut but if they had Ketel One or Grey Goose I would order a drink made with one of those too. I have inquired at both bars why they don’t have it and they say they run out over the weekend. Well they need to order more to have on hand then. It’s pretty ridiculous and that’s all I’m going to say about that. The bartenders seem pretty friendly though and make a very decent drink.
