Thrift Shop With Pippa W.

I am a HUGE fan of Bridgewood Farms! The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because if you are not a true thrifter, this«style» of thrift store will turn you off. It is crammed all together and feels overwhelming but EVERY time I go there I am pleasantly surprised! You do have to dig but there are treasures everywhere. They have different sales every week and I have been fortunate to hit the $ 1 sales quite often! They are opening a new location in The Woodlands, sometime towards the end of April, so I can’t wait to see their new location! Here are a few of my favorite $ 1 finds that I have featured on my thrifting blog:

Currently Closed. I spoke with the Conroe location and they stated they will be reopening early summer. I loved this thrift shop; I hope it returns.

What a wonderful find! So glad I read the reviews here and sought this one out. They had wonderful items and the service was some of the best I have ever seen. The ladies working were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. All the money raised goes to a wonderful cause. Looking for books? They have a whole room! Decorations and Décor? Plenty of those. Clothes? So much to choose from. We will definitely be back.

Today, armed with the names & addresses of 8 – 10 resale shops, my husband & I inaugurated our«Tour de Thrift». We drove across I-45, to the humble little strip mall that’s home to Hodges Food Basket. A couple doors down to the north(or left, if you’re facing Food Basket), you’ll see Bridgewood Farms Thrift Store. This is a GREAT old school thrift, much like the places my mom most likes to frequent in San Luis Obispo, CA. It’s staff by a sweet lady at the front desk who wasn’t suspicious of all our browsing, sorting & searching. You’ll need to go prepared to sort, dig, lift, reach around, slip through, walk underneath, etc. It’s kinda a messy, crazy sorta place, but you can find some good things. I’d say prices are mid-range to a little high for thrifting, but not outta control. If you live in Conroe, Magnolia, The Woodlands or anywhere nearby, and you enjoying thrifting, you gotta go to Bridgewood Farms Thrift Store! Check it out! I really look forward to stopping in again … I kinda hope this’ll become one of my «local spots».
