I’ve driven past Broyle’s Jewelry more times than I can count. It’s so close to my house and I can’t explain why I never stopped here. I suppose I was searching for something beyond the rainbow in far off places.
Multiple visits to multiple jewelry stores for minor repairs on other pieces were really my way of scoping the places out to determine if they could/​would handle a big repair that may arise. My previous jeweler closed, so I was on the hunt. While I was very pleased with these establishments, they were always a hike from home.
But now I had a major repair parked in my jewelry box. I’d received an estimate nearly 8 months ago that blew me away (hence the resulting park since last summer). This piece held tremendous sentimental value, but I just couldn’t justify the quote I received. So I investigated selling it to a «gold shop» since it was a 14K piece with multiple diamonds. E-​gads! I was offered scrap for the gold only and nothing for the value of the diamonds.
On a lark, I stopped in to Broyles. Alan was cordial and friendly and very honest as I plunked this piece in front of him and pretty much told him: «Give me YOUR opinion on repair.» Indeed he did. And HE blew me away.
Knowledgeable and forthright, Alan explained what it would take and really what it would cost to fix this ring. It was one-​third of the quote I had received last summer. Woah! My world has been righted!
I told Alan I wanted to discuss this potential repair with my husband; later that afternoon I brought the ring back to Broyles for repair — and Alan recognized me right away as I walked in, greeting me by name. I also brought in my solitaire engagement ring to have sized and have both rings soldered together. A very fair price for the sizing and soldering was added on to the estimate and I was given a projected finish time of 10 days.
The repair took a tad longer than the promised 10 days, but the result was breathtaking. Not only was my anniversary ring completely fixed, it sparkled like new and was now soldered to my engagement ring (also looking like a new ring, now that it was polished and reinforced to hopefully never break again). Absolutely beautiful work. Absolutely beautiful!

This establishment is incredibly helpful and professional! They are a top notch jeweler. They went above and beyond any of the other jewelers I contacted for rings by responding immediately to my emails, promptly ordering the rings I wanted to try on, and following up as soon as they get it in the store. They answered every question and were flexible from start to finish. I am beyond impressed by their customer service and will definitely shop here for other jewelry purchases in the future.
