This place is fantastic! The trainers are really nice and helpful — that being said they will push you and motivate you to work hard. They also spend time making sure your form is correct so no injuries occur. There are no frills here and the WOD’s are NOT easy but if that’s what you are looking for then this is NOT the place for you. The workouts are always changing, and they are always challenging, so it’s different every time and nothing gets boring. I have had no regrets about setting foot into this place.

This place is amazing. The trainers care and will accommodate any person that walks through the door, regardless of fitness level. Please don’t walk in expecting treadmills and air conditioning, either. It’s not for the faint, but for people who are willing to test their comfort levels to reach their fitness goals. I have abs now, that is all.

I’m not the guru of Crossfit, my sister is. She’s got the banging body because of Crossfit(different gym) so I thought I would give them a try. Crossfit is not about pretty. It’s basic equipment. No fancy anything. No Air Conditioning but there was a nice cross breeze. They have 1 washroom if you need to change. You have to come here with a different mind set and expectations. I come from a dance, pilates, and yoga background so getting on a dirty rubberized mat took a little getting used to.(tip: don’t wear white tops.) They really encourage you to come as often in a week as possible, to push yourself as hard as you can when you’re here. After each time I was here, I felt it for days! They’re supportive and instructive, correcting any errors in form. They also have a class just for women which was nice. There are people who really did well here, made friends and they look great but I’m going to try to find another crossfit box that’s not quite so rustic. Crossfit Silverback is looking into building their own building instead of operating out of warehouse/garage space. Maybe I’ll check them out then.

if you are tired of the same dull routine at the local globo-gym, go to crossfit silverback on louetta. No workout is ever the same. It’s as close to a personal trainer situation as you can get without paying that much. Get ready to be pushed harder than you’ve ever trained before. The other day the trainer wouldn’t let me say«I can’t» and MADE me finish all the reps. I thought I was gonna die. But it felt awesome leaving knowing that I had truly given 100% to a workout. It’s a no nonsense garage gym – nothing fancy, but lots of the essentials needed for a good workout. You’re back to the basics of pushups, pull-up, weights, skipping, jump rope, etc. They offer a free trial week(I was not pressured at all to join after the week). My gut feeling is that everyone will either love it or hate it after that week – won’t be any in between. It’s $ 150 per mo. for one person or $ 180 for couple or family. Might sound steep, but you’ll probably spend that much on healthcare in your future if you don’t take care of yourself. They offer discount to military and fire, which I think is very admirable and shows their true colors.
