I have to say after reading the reviews on Unilocal,I was very nervous about calling. I actually called a competitor and am still waiting on that call but I knew something had to be done quickly so a neighbor referred me to Hal Watson so I called. I called this morning and a technician was out at 2 this afternoon. Wow! Now that is service! Tom S. was my technician and he immediately got to work looking for the problem with our upstairs a/c. He was very thorough and kept me updated on the progress. My sons room over the garage stayed hot so he maneuvered the dampers to give my son more cool air in his room. Unfortunately that wouldn’t do any good if we didn’t figure out why the air was so hot. Welp, it didnt take Tom long to figure out our coolant was extremely low and our evaporator coil is leaking. He filled up the coolant and turned the a/c back on and oh my gosh! Cool air! He did inform me that the coil will have to be replaced eventually and that they would check on my warranty and get back with me within a few days. How awesome is that? I don’t have to call and fight with Lennox about my a/c unit, they will do it for me! And to end it, I was dreading the invoice but I was honestly surprised that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I don’t know what reasonable charges for A/c repair and service are but I felt like theirs was very fair at $ 300. I am so glad I went with Hal Watson and I will continue to use them in the future. This was my second great experience with Hal Watson A/C so I had to write a review. First time I had an electrical issue with the AC unit and a tech came out and diagnosed the problem. But, the part had to be ordered and all the techs were busy that day so the owner of the company came by on his way home that night and put a temporary fix on it until the part came in. The part came in within a couple days and was installed with no further charge. I thought it was great service that the owner would stop by and make sure we were taken care of and that my family was comfortable. That kind of service is hard to find. The next issue was more serious. I have a 15 year old system and had a freon leak and a capacitor out. No cool air blowing in mid-summer. A family friend who is an AC tech with another company was in the area and stopped by at my father-in-law’s request. He said I probably needed a new system due to the leak without doing much investigating and didn’t even get into the attic. I called Hal Watson to get a second opinion and possibly get them to give me a quote on a new system if I did actually need one. I wanted my 15 year old system to get me through one more summer at least. A HW tech(Will) arrived promptly within a couple of hours of my call and did a thorough job going over my system with a microscope trying to find the leak. He used his equipment in the attic and around the outside unit trying to track down the leak which he discovered outside and found it to be an easy repair and assured me I didn’t need a new system at that time. This was a $ 300 service call vs. a new $ 10,000 system that I didn’t need and he could have sold me since I know very little about HVAC systems. Will was a very nice/professional guy too. I think this honesty with good customer service speaks volumes about a company’s integrity and honesty. I will use Hal Watson for every HVAC need from now on without question.

80 service call. hidden 80/hr. leak detection. unsatisfied. tech misdiagnosed my problem due to ignorance and/or attempt to rip me off. do not use this company. other ac repair companies have a free diagnosis
