Showed up within a few hours of my call. Quickly relocated a bee hive that had attached itself under the eaves of my home.

We had a swarm of bees find a home in the wall behind our siding on Monday afternoon. I called Mike around 9:00 on Monday night. He responded immediately and we scheduled the removal. On Wednesday morning, Mike(the owner) of Houston Bee Removal came to our home and setup a very clean and secure operation. I have included some pictures. Here was the process: 1) He basically sealed the working area off with plastic from floor to ceiling. He covered the floor with nice, clean tarps. He had one assistant that was there to help, and they used safety suits and headgear with mesh netting over their faces. 2)He used temperature readings followed by a borescope to get a visual on the bee swarm. 3) After he located them, he cut a very small rectangle in the ceiling and used a vacuum to remove them directly from the honeycomb that they had built. I was amazed at how much they had built in a day and a half. 4) Mike used a hive to vacuum the bees into. This was the most amazing part. He did not kill them, but instead actually put them into a new hive box that he takes out to a field to help pollinate plants and make honey! 5) He cut the honeycomb out and put it into a bucket. We took some(which already had new eggs and new honey!) to let our daughter take to school for show and tell. 5) He cleaned up on the inside, screwed the drywall back into the ceiling with small 2×4’s(I will seal it with caulk on my own), and then began collecting the remaining bees on the outside wall. 6) Mike conducted an outside walk-around outside the home and identified all areas that need to be «pest-proofed,» and then recommended what materials to use and how to do it. As he drove away with about 8,000 bees in a locked box, a few hundred more stayed on the back of his truck for a ride with the rest of their colony. Crazy! My kids LOVED it. He was very knowledgeable about how the bees live, how best to find them and capture them, and how to ensure that more will not replace them. I highly recommend his service. He was very personable and treated our home very well. If you have a swarm close by or have bees in your house, contact Mike at Houston Bee Removal. They have a great website, too.
