Maybe if you are alone and in a hurry this may be worth one visit. Not a place to bring somebody or recommend to anyone. No atmosphere and no attempt by the staff or it appears owners, to be friendly or welcoming. I won’t be going back.

I eat here a lot for lunch because the price is great for the portion you get on lunch specials plus bento box. Wish they had more sushi selections but Overall good food and great price.

The quality of the sushi roll was good, however I thought they used WAY too much sauce on it so it kind of took out the flavor. The establishment was very nice and the service was very good. They need to fix their radio because we were listing to static the whole time we were there. We would go back again, but it may not be for Sushi rolls.

This place is, at best, inconsistent. Our last visit on Friday, 1÷8÷16 was awful. Cold food, arguing from the kitchen and curt service added to the mediocre Chef Specialty Kung pao combo platter. The sashimi salmon was slimed and no sushi was available. The food was hot but the scallops were not. Despite our experience that night, we’ve had other excellent meals there. However the inconsistency on Friday was the last straw for us. Never again.

Went here on the weekend bc of the unique concept of Japanese and Chinese food. I love the two sided menu! :) lots of options. Food was good and the restaurant was cozy. Special lo mein 5⁄5 It was good Fried rice that came with lo mein 1⁄5 Too plain! But it’s a side so it didn’t really matter. Tempura hand roll 4⁄5 It’s was alright Spicy tuna hand roll, spicy salmon, and salmon roll 5⁄5 They were really fresh and I love that the salmon was not mushed but chopped in cubes bc a lot of places with spicy salmon will smash them The food was good and pretty cheap. The only problem was it was too far, so I won’t be able to visit too often.

We visited this place because it had overall reviews of 4.5 stars. Typically this high rating in Unilocal means good food… Boy were we misled! The food is very poor quality, I had the Yami Yami roll… Honestly the rolls at the super market are significantly better than this one, beside the portion was rather small for $ 8 I was expecting a better roll. My hubby had a bento box, and I was plain dull, no flavor at all. The service was annoying, they didn’t wait for us to leave to see how much tip we had left… And nobody else was there as it was late lunch, so I didn’t understand the rush. Bottom line don’t take their overall rating into account, poor quality food and service. Never going back.

Fantastic food, fantastic service. You can’t go wrong with anything you order on the menu. The Sushi is to die for, and tastes extremely fresh

Small authentic Chinese and Japanese restaurant. The décor inside with the sushi bar will make you forget you’re in Houston. I LOVE their sushi. The rolls are big and rolled to order surprisingly quick, they always come out before the food does. Their rice is perfect and has never been stale, mushy, or falling off the rolls. Spicy salmon is my favorite with just the right amount of kick. My girlfriend always gets egg rolls, or chicken katchitori(spelling?) to start. Both are very well done. Egg rolls are smaller bunch crisp and the chicken is grilled on a kabob with teriyaki sauce. Her go to dish is brown chicken with rice and broccoli. The portions are crazy big and the chicken is always tender. The brown sauce is delicious. I also recently tried the teriyaki salmon which comes on ramen noodles and a side of rice and miso soup to start. Everything was very good, the salmon was cooked perfectly and I ended up taking half of it home. I swear they gave me a whole filet on the plate. Usually not too busy besides Friday and Saturday nights so it’s a nice relaxing place to go and enjoy some peace and great Asian food.

We have been getting take-out from here for years and their Chinese food is tasty but today I tried the sushi menu. This sushi was awesome… far better than others I’ve had in spring. The fish tastes fresh and their selection of rolls is interesting. They have the traditional types but also a lot of original ones. Their sauces are house made and makes for some awesome flavor on your specialty rolls. Dynamite crunchy roll is so good! It has some hot mustard mixed in the eel sauce and makes for a super spicy and super tasty roll

Delicious food here! I love that they have both Chinese and Sushi, two of my favorite things. The spicy salmon roll was tasty and the sesame chicken was delicious. This is my new favorite Chinese takeout place for sure. They were very friendly and the restaurant was cozy and clean. Will definitely be back.

Came here very randomly using the Unilocal app. Wanted something different for dinner that wasn’t one of the usual spots I frequented. Based on a review of one of my Unilocal amigos, tried it. The place is small, but quaint. Feels like a neighborhood place where the staff knows everyone and just overall very friendly. Food was pretty good. Loved their tempura solely based on the fact it reminded me of my moms. So yes. Delish. Everything is moderately priced and you have your option of Japanese or Chinese food. Kinda a «please everyone» menu. Overall I had a «solid» experience, like Andrea said. If I am ever randomly in this part of town and am hungry again I will be eating here!

My brother was in the urgent care a couple of doors down so my mom and i stopped in to grab a snack… There were a couple of other tables dining in when we walked in… I believe it was a Wednesday around 6 pm… We order an order of spring rolls, seaweed salad, and a sushi roll… We were pleasantly satisfied with everything we ordered. The spring rolls were good… Not overly greasy and filled with the perfect amount of veggies… We got a good amount of seaweed with the salad and it wasn’t overly vinegar-y… The roll was a good size as well… The waitress was a sweet girl who was very attentive… In addition to the people in the restaurant they had a lot of to go orders coming in and calling in… If I’m in the area I’ll probably stop by again…

Solid. Solid. Solid. I had my doubts. Walking in and it was in a strip center where you don’t see many asian restaurants. Also, offering sushi? The mix makes you feel a little uneasy. I think this place has a pretty good selection of rolls and the fish is very good. Now… I left this review in my drafts for a while and I’m glad I did. The food itself is very Americanized and it’s not a bad thing, but if you choose the wrong item it might be the reason why you don’t come back. The good, he bad, and the ugly. If you get something like sesame chicken, it’s good. If you get something like the beef teriyaki, it’s bad. If you get he shrimp and walnut, it’s ugly. The walnut and shrimp was coated in an Asian mayo, if you don’t like mayo hen do NOT get it. I understand it’s supposed to have a bit of mayo. But it looked like a whole jar was on top. Other than that, the people are very nice and when I ordered to go one day they threw in sweet and sour chicken for free. Didn’t mean I ate it, but it was a nice gesture!

Simple cheap Chinese take out. Love it! Nothing fancy just straight forward and tasty! The inside of the restaurant is small with about 10 small tables. The deliver within a close radius of their establishment. Simple common dishes(lo mien, kung pal chicken) at a reasonable price. They offer both Chinese and Japanese food. I personally got the lo mien and it was tasty! They charge extra for the tofu substitution but for $ 11 I got 3 servings out of it. Great place to go when you just don’t want to cook. :)

Service is much better(new management?) — food is still good. They now take Disover credit cards. Friday night — not crowded. Ordered Salt & Pepper Shrimp — could use a few more peppers and little bit more ginger. Decent amount of shrimp

No cars in the parking lot and only one couple eating, almost kept driving. So glad we didn’t! The dinning area was very clean and smelled like heaven! The décor was Asian chic and the place smelled like heaven! The only thing that kept it from five stars was the Bön Jovi blaring over the airwaves. The hors d’oeuvres tasted fantastic but were a little on the small side. Their was a large variety of sushi rolls and sashimi. I had the Singapore noodles and it was great, a little spicy! I highly recommend!

Alright, it’s definitely cheap and fast Chinese food. Don’t fool yourself into thinking this is high class gourmet stuff ’cause the food speaks for itself. It looks like it’s run by a small family. The son is the server/sushi chef, the mom and sister are snapping beans on the sushi bar, the youngest child who can’t be older than 5 years old is sweeping the floor after some encouragement from mom. I had the Hunan Trio and felt it was standard takeout fare. The fried rice tasted stale, the soy sauce was so heavily ladled on, I couldn’t tell if there were any veggies mixed in there and it was very mild with not enough kick. The rolls were just okay-nothing to write home about and if I didn’t find two plastic pieces in my fish, I would have been a little more enthused. At least I thought it was bones or cartilage, but upon closer inspection found that it was a cut corner of a plastic bag. One corner I could live with but two is a little excessive.
