Le Monde Nails

For nails, Christina is awesome. They are pretty clean and organized there. You get exactly what you want. I take a picture of what I want and she will be straight with me and say she can do it, and exexutes to perfection.

I moved to this area from Atascocita about two months ago and I am in utter shock at the lack of professional, clean, pampering nail salons. I read positive reviews and decided to try LaMonde. Looks nice enough upon arrival and my mom and I had high hopes this would be our new place, seeing as we have been driving back 30 minutes to our normal place. Lack of options when it comes to polish colors but they have a good amount of options for shellac. Massage chairs were nice, nail techs were not. Not only are they incredibly short and rude when speaking to customers but they acted as though they were inconvenienced by our being there. I told them I didn’t like my cuticles to be cut, only pushed back. Their reply was «well what DO you want?» I told them I wanted a manicure… but no cuticles cut. She said «I know.» Okay then. I wasn’t given a hand or arm massage either! That’s a routine part of any manicure. As for the pedicure, I asked for one of their higher priced pedicures with extra massage and what I got the lowest price pedicure, 1 minute massage on each leg and a snarky «ask first if you want special» when I asked why my pedicure lasted only ten minutes. They used the cheese grater on my feet and were clipping skin around my toes that was painful (and also illegal. I am a licensed cosmetologist and it is unlawful to use these tools on living skin.) Asked them to stop, no response. Still kept going. No hot towel, no relaxing massage, no hot wax… At the checkout I gave them my debit card and when I went to sign and (reluctantly) add a tip, the lady said «you don’t sign for debit card.» And rolled her eyes. Please note there is not a sign saying that tips should be added onto the cards prior to running them. I didn’t have cash. So no tip for the rude ladies at La Monde nails. I would rather drive 30 minutes for excellent service at the same price. Better luck with your other returning customers who I guess don’t know good service because of this area. I won’t be returning, not even for a polish change.

I love this nail salon, I wish I would have found this sooner. Christina does a great job, and is very personable. Good prices and they are very nice. My friend and I came in for mani/​pedis and they took very good care of us. I will continue to come back.

The tools aren’t sterilized. The polish job was not just on my nails, but skin also. Staff was friendly, but the communication barrier was relegated to hand motions.
