This is a tough one to review. I love Lucky Jeans, and all of my jeans have been Luckys for the past 10 years or so. You can imagine how thrilled I was when over Memorial Day weekend I saw a big prominent sign that said«40% off Entire Store!» That seemed pretty clear, so I went in to get a new pair of jeans. The employees were extremely nice and helpful, and after trying on several different combinations I finally settled on one that fit well and that I liked, but for the price of $ 129. «No problem!» I thought, since the Entire Store was 40% off, according to the sign. I strolled up to the counter to pay, and lo-and-behold, my bill was $ 129 plus the sales tax. I told the cashier there must be some kind of mistake, since the Entire Store was 40% off. She pointed me to some teeny-tiny, eye-test size print at the bottom of the sign that said«Some exclusions apply» and told me that denim wasn’t on sale. So, Lucky, seriously? Your whole rep is pretty much built on your jeans, you advertise that the Entire Store is 40% off, but you exclude denim? On top of that, you don’t even specify that the items most likely to bring people into the store aren’t actually on store? Horrible. I didn’t get the jeans, and frankly, I feel mighty deceived by the whole advertisement, so I probably won’t be back. Not sure what I’ll do about jeans going forward, but I’ll figure out something. In short: Jeans: Good Employees: Good Advertising/Sales Policy: Terrible and deceptive
