Came back to NY Bagel. Because. They make damn good bagels. Plain. Toasted. With butter. With cream cheese. Or any way you want to eat your bagel. Bought a half dozen because I’ll come back again and buy them fresh when I run out. Since I grew up eating a bagel every day for breakfast in high school and college(in the NY area), let’s just say that I know my bagels. These are as close to what I grew up with as you’ll get in this area. Nosh on!

Fellow Unilocalers, I know you don’t know me but trust me this place has no right to call these bagels NY Bagels! Are they the worst bagels? Nope! Do they taste anything like a NY bagel? Nope! Have I eaten NY bagels many times in my lifetime? Yep! Can I get a better bagel from local grocery store bakery? Yep! I ordered from here a little over a month ago and was not very impressed. They had about 5 bagels to choose from but figured no biggie if they are good. I ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches one on a plain bagel and the other on the only sesame bagel that was left. I had to repeat my order a few times and still was asked while I was waiting to again repeat the order. I tried to order the french toast platter and was told they only had a french toast bagel. I was confused because it was under platters on the menu under the pancake platter. I mean holy crap that is one expensive bagel! I asked again about it when my order was finally complete and the story changed to they had not received their whole order and they didn’t not receive all the ingredients to make the french toast platter. Umm no offense you have bread for the sandwiches, eggs, and a grill would make sense to run to the store for powdered sugar and cinnamon to make some sales. Unless of course it is frozen french toast? The bagel sandwiches tasted much like any sandwich you can get from any of the other 20 local donut/sandwich places.
