Paddington British School truly is a storybook setting. Paddington is not only academically challenging for the children with its rigorous curriculum, but it has a warm, loving, and nurturing environment. What Ms. Nicolette, the founder, along with their fantastic teaching staff have accomplished with our children is beyond remarkable. At Paddington the children are taught an unbelievable wealth of knowledge from etiquette, to a second language, social skills, music, arts, and a foundation of education that includes reading, writing, science, and technology.
Paddington gives our children so much more than we thought possible and so much more than can be conveyed in a review. It is truly as good as it gets and if you are hoping to give your children an academic structure and learning, exposure to welcomed diversity, a sense of community and the desire to go to school each day with a school that is just as invested as you are in their future, then we can’t encourage Paddington enough. I have sent two of my children there over the past 5 years, and will be sending my newest child there this fall. I have ALWAYS had the most fabulous experience with this school. They have really great teachers & staff… all so sweet and kind. It is so apparent that they all truly love children and care about teaching them. My 6 year old still talks about how he misses his teachers from Paddington. It was clear they provided such a loving, warm, and safe learning environment at school for my son… and really touched/​impacted him and his life in such wonderful ways. It doesn’t get any better than that when you are thinking about sending your little ones off to be in the care of others for a good chunk of the day, right?!
I also love Miss Nicolette, the head of the school, a lot! She really cares about providing a well-​rounded educational experience for the kids and ensures the curriculum for the kids at each level is the best it can be. I especially love her focus on the arts and how the kids’ educations there incorporated classical music, artists of all sorts, and included a few musical presentations for parents to enjoy (but also give the kids great, early exposure to performing in a non-​threatening way), etc. She also orchestrates so many neat things for the kids at Paddington to experience. Dr. Seuss and other character visits, special holiday-​related events like the Polar Express in winter time (my kids always LOVED playing with the snow that got brought in!), a visit with a fire truck/​firemen, carnivals, etc… the list goes on! There’s ALWAYS something fun/​exciting happening at Paddington! What’s more is that Nicolette truly cares not just about the kids at her school, but about people in the community. She has regularly offered scholarships to kids to help their parents send them to Paddington and has made several AMAZING donations to Memorial Hermann’s In the Pink of Health, helping countless underserved women around Montgomery County receive breast health services they desperately need but would otherwise be unable to receive. In the Pink is very proud to have established this relationship with such a wonderful, generous, and philanthropic-​minded woman.
I found clubs also to be really terrific. My kids took computers, art, music, ABC/​123 (which was great for my oldest whose English was a little bit behind since we had just moved from Brazil at the time and his Portuguese was better when we came back here), and science. I think my kids loved Science club the best of all the clubs, and it truly was a cool class. They learned about so many great topics like electricity, the weather, etc., and did a lot of neat little activities that went along with their lessons. I personally loved the art class a lot because they not only learned about a wide variety of techniques and famous artists who used them, but they helped the kids make simple replicas of famous works. I LOVED displaying them in my home! Towards the end of the art club, they even had an exhibition where kids worked on a canvas replicating a famous work from various artists and they were all on display for parents to enjoy. My oldest still has his Kandinsky replica proudly on his wall in his room, and my middle child gave his painting to his baby brother to hang in his room. So cute.
Lastly, I also think I should mention another really great thing about Paddington and that is the relationships that parents are able to develop with one another by sending our kids to such a wonderful school that helps facilitate those relationships via all the activities and events parents can participate in if they desire. I always feel a sense of community there and can honestly say that despite my older two kids moving on to public school, the friendships I developed with the other parents there have remained… and so have several friendships of my kids and kids in their old classes. In fact, we are going to a Paddington friend’s child’s birthday next weekend & I cannot wait for the reunion of my child’s classmates from his days at Paddington.

Where do I begin to write all the wonderful things about Paddington British School? This school became our family and a second home for my children. I’ve always been a believer that early childhood development is of the utmost importance in a child’s life. If things are done «right» before a child goes to 1^st grade, there will not be any issues in learning if a strong foundation is present. It was not easy to find a school for my children with the same philosophy. This is not a daycare where children simply spend time. This truly is a little school whether your child is 1 or 5. The curriculum developed for all ages is incredible. Solid foundation for a lifetime of learning, covers a large variety of subjects from letters, math and social development to art, music, and languages. What makes this school one of a kind is a team of teachers that are absolutely the best in their field. They love children, they love to teach and they are the best teachers I have ever seen. I say that with confidence. The international component of the school was so appealing to me. My children started attending when they turned 14 months and my older boy just finished Pre-​school. His teachers have shaped him into a strong leader, thinker, and learner. He knew all his letters and sounds by age 3 and started reading right as he turned 4. We work with him at home but give Paddington the credit for his success.
How many children would attend an orchestra and name every instrument they see being played? A Paddington student would from an early age because classical music is an integral part of the school. The school also believes in teaching foreign languages at a young age as this is when it’s the easiest to learn. You can choose between French or Spanish. How often would you see a 3-​year old perform on a stage of a large auditorium? You would find a Paddington student doing just that at the Christmas Performance. The school believes in helping children even with their public speaking experience. I’ve seen a big change in my children on the stage over the years and must say that they are now very confident in their skills to perform in front of a large group of people.
Paddington British School develops a child in every possible way, socially and academically. And all of this is done in an environment that truly resembles your second home, your own family. When I take my children in the morning, I don’t feel I take them to school. I feel I take them to family.
I am grateful for Paddington British School and the influence it is making in my children. I truly believe my children will be strong leaders, thinkers, and lifetime learners because we attended this school. I only wish we could stay here many more years and time didn’t go so fast.

I have a locksmith service and we recently had a business interaction with Paddington British School in The Woodlands, Texas. I really enjoyed working with Alice and Nicolette while performing work on their lock project. In my consultations with them, I could tell that student safety was a top priority for their school. Dealing with Paddington British School was a great professional experience! I highly recommend that one would consider them for the early schooling experience of their child.

My son attended for 2 years until we had to move out of the area, he was so happy and well cared for there. The teachers were amazing and the school is small and and beautiful. The education was excellent and the staff friendly, we loved paddington and will miss it for a long time.
