Pallotta’s Mexican Grill

It seems this restaurant has really gone down a lot. The booth seating is peeling and looks unkept. The food is okay but there are better Mexican restaurants in the area. The queso tasted like it was from a powder and not real cheese. We had to send it back. Won’t be going back.

One word YUCK! And poor service to top it off
We walk in and the hostess just let us stand there while she’s sitting on the bench playing on her phone we thought she was waiting for a table

Avocado beef fajita enchiladas were good. Service is terrible. I was there today for lunch. It wasn’t crowded. I was surprised how very long it was before our meal arrived and none of us ordered something that should take longer than usual.

The food here is just ok. The service was good. It’s just up the street from me so I will probably end up returning, I would t recommend a special trip though.

This place is way to expensive for what you get! Ordered Chile con queso… what we got was a bowl of just queso… no tomatoes, onions or Chile. The rice and beans had no flavor. Honestly go to taco cabana and pay less and get better food.

We’ve been here a few times, today was our most enjoyable experience. I asked for the TV to be changed, it was done with ease. Out food was brought promptly and as ordered. Very close to our home, we’ll be back, hope the good service continues.

Bleh. Bland, margaritas weren’t even good. Don’t bother with this place. Nice décor. That’s about it

Good food, I would recommend the avocado enchiladas, very family friendly. Also they have a good deal on kids food Sunday’s. Nice service. We come here often

I think this place is underrated. The chips and salsa were good. The beef fajitas were a bargain. The service was great. Very attentive waitress. You won’t find the best Mexican food you ever ate here, but you will find a good value. If it’s close to home or work and you don’t want to battle traffic, then this is a good spot.

The first several times I went, there was always something floating in my margarita or the cup was dirty. It’s right by my house so I’ve probably given this place more chances than I would anywhere else. Tonight however, the service was slow and terrible and still stuff floating in my drink. I will never return. Awful. I’ll drive a little further to Chuy’s or another Tex-​Mex place that I know has consistent quality.

Had reserved table for 18 a week before today and called to confirm day of to make sure reservation was set… they said it was ready to go. We show up and NOPE they are not ready to go and had us wait 45 minutes while some of the owner’s friends used the only area big enough for our party. We were celebrating my daughter’s first communion so I was extra annoyed. Talked to owner directly and she could have cared less. Never offered to make things right or speed up the service just kept saying «I’m not sure what I can do for you. I’ll comp your queso if you want.» Seriously! ! ! Oh and the food was less then average.
Won’t be going back ever. Would rather drive the extra 20min to Chuy’s where the food isn’t out of a can.
I even let the owner know that there is a hug gap between the window and the exit door letting dirt into the restaurant all day and night (see attached photo).not even a thank you for the free health and safety inspection.

We finally decided to try this place just because it was close. I read reviews prior, but figured we would give it a shot. We were seated right away. Our drink orders were taken right away and the chips followed shortly after. Our food was delivered and it was very underwhelming. Throughout the lunch, I went without a drink for 10 minutes, twice. We’re lucky we didn’t need anything with our food, because if we did we would’ve been out of luck considering our waitress was chatting it up with other employees the entire time. We sat for 15 – 20 minutes after we finished eating waiting for our check. We finally had to wave her down, which we never do. Overall, the food was less than mediocre and the service was some of the worst we’ve ever had. Will not be back. Could’ve had better service at McDonald’s.

The food wasn’t horrible, but I can’t say the same about the service. We went on a slow night, there may have been 6 tables tops and we arrived at the same time as another family and we were both sat in the same area. Our waitress was prompt with getting our drink order and delivering it promptly. We ordered off the menu with the exception of my wife not wanting rice on her plate. Not a big change, but was something that they could not accomplish in the kitchen, rice was put on the plate, along with a broken taco, and delivered to the table. This was mentioned to the waitress and she just shrugged and walked away from the table. If I am going to spend 12 bucks on a taco and enchilada, I want it to come to my table prepared the way I requested and not broken into pieces. There are WAY too many Tex-​Mex restaurants in the area for us to ever go back.

Margaritas are good !!! The service is not bad but is par for the course in this type of place. I had the nachos supreme which were ok. Not top notch but ok. The tacos al carbon are also average. This is a great quiet place to relax, drink and eat. But don’t expect the food to be over the top award winning.

My wife and I were driving by decided to stop and try the food is 2 o’clock on a Friday afternoon Took 10 minutes to be seated place their orders got there fast but it was very bland no taste whatsoever The refried beans were like paste really thick. Definitely would not go back again service was poor food was awful

I rarely ever see a business this poorly rated on Unilocal… ever. But I ended up here due to the fact that my girlfriend’s sister has a couple of little ones, and this place is only a mile from their house. Damn kids ruining all of the good culinary fun…
But all in all, I think the 2-​star overall rating is pretty harsh. That’s a LOT of 1 and 2 star reviews. My experience was average. The food didn’t stand out as particularly awesome, but it wasn’t bad. The server was a bit awkward and nervous, but also very attentive and he definitely gave it his all.
I’ll probably end up here again, and I won’t be upset about it. It’s a very nice place, with just slightly underwhelming food!

I have eaten here twice. The first time was almost uneatable, the second was edible but I definitely will not recommend it or eat here again.

I always stop by for a Rita and a Fajita, we all know that service at the bar is always non existing and the attitude very poor, but yesterday I had BLACK MOLD from the Unclean Margarita machine and they should have stopped serving it and wash it! Discusting: Marvin Zindler would have said «SLIME IN THE ICE MACHINE».
Be aware, that can cause serious health issues. Food is good though but thats about it (Im windering at this point the health conditions in the kitchen…)…

Horrible. Can’t even give ½ STAR!.So unprofessional. I will Never Go Back Can’t believe how RUDE a waitress can be. We went with a group of people. I was not ready to order yet. She never came back to me or my family to take order. Give water refill nothing. She doesn’t come
back until serving people’s food. I said I’m ready, she gave a nod to me like ok she will be right back. She went back to kitchen 3 times getting food for people. Looks at us a couple of times saying nothing. Then took everyone’s «What their plate didn’t come with add on «Still did not take order. By this time most people were ½ way thru food. We got up She had no time asking for $ for Chili Con queso. Never apologized didn’t say thank you, Sat my change on counter & said nothing.

Ok, I think a lot of you are jumping on the bandwagon of «bad reviews».
Came here on Thursday night with wife and mom, we ordered Gorditas (really good, but SPICY), Mole Enchilada (delicious) and the Tomales (pretty good, very flavorful).
Overall was a good experience, I checked Unilocal and saw all these bad reviews but came in with an open mind and was surprised. Service was great, our waitress and even hooked us up with a free desert, very attentive and pleasant.
So stop being babies, and give this place a try, or another try.
