Salima’s Beauty Salon

This place is horrible. I went in for threading eyebrows and full face. The lady at the salon at the time did a good job on my eyebrows but she could not wait to finish the face threading. She answered a couple of phone calls in between. She just kept going not waiting for me to hold my skin tight while threading. If you have got threading done you’ll know tight skin is very important. By the time she finished I had CUTs all over my face. Not tiny nicks these were «cuts». I have scars because of this now. She was merciless. Just wanted to to be done ! And there was no one else there waiting either. She then squirted water from a bottle that they use for wetting hair before cutting (YEW) into a cup and added some «lotion» and mixed it up to apply to my skin. she just rubbed it all over my face and then went to sit down and watch something on her ipad: o Never go here for anything this place is unhygienic and unprofessional. She even had the nerve to tell me I had warts on my face ! I don’t! She suggested I go to another location of their store where they can do some chemical treatment to get rid of the warts.

I think she was on the rush to do my Brazilian. I get it that they were only two people working but at least act like each customer is valued not rushed. Seriously for the price I paid I was rushed!

I have been here a few times for different services and have never been disappointed. But what prompted me to write this review was the most amazing haircut I just got from this place. I was never able to settle on a place to get a haircut because for some reason wherever I go, they either cut my hair really short or give me layers that dont look good on me or it just nver works. I had to always go to this one place in Dallas where I would get a decenthaircut!
This time, I was lucky to get a haircut from Salima (owner) so close to where I live. She was patient, courteous and thorough! She gave me a really nice stylish haircut that is now so much easier to maintain than what I had before! My hair was nowhere close to stylish and even though it was short, it was really hard to maintain! Salima really worked her magic! I am going back to her for all haircuts!

I had my hair cut here once and she did a good job. I also got my face fully threaded for under $ 30! Can’t beat that and it is a clean salon. A little dated but that didn’t hinder the service in anyway! I go here for the threading and will come back for a facial next time. Why not?!

I’m rating this sole experience at THIS LOCATION ONLY. Having been to Salima’s a few years ago and a girl ruining my eyebrows, I had no intention of returning. However, they have new staff who wax well and for cheap rates. Clean facilities, hot wax – though the rollers sometimes malfunction and that bloody hurts – and decent threading. The two women were friendly, especially the young one, and they actually seem to care if you’re satisfied with results or not and check at least twice for unwanted hair.

Went today to have face threaded. Service was alright. Sideburns were uneven. Price is good $ 25 for whole face but I still had to pluck some hairs off my eyebrow. I will not be going back.
