Ordered three Texas hot and a potato egg and cheese and only got one Texas hot and my girlfriend got gipped too. The woman at the counter seemed totally disinterested in helping us. I usually go to the 2920 location cause they are way better but sawdust is closer and we were hungry. Second time I’ve been to sawdust location and it sucked the last time too. Get competent staff please.

Had a ham and cheese kolache and it was very doughy, and not cooked all the way. And the woman at the counter spoke very little English and could hardly understand what I was saying. The service is not good here either and the staff is not very friendly. They never smile and don’t say good morning. This was my second and last visit.

Hot and fluffy sausage and cheese kolache! Only place for something quick to eat! Turtle coffee with caramel syrup is really good!

For a Kolache place this place is pretty good and original. Have been coming here a lot and have been great so far. I prefer their Kolaches to Shipley ones.

I have been going to this Kolache Factory for breakfast/brunch for several years now and it’s not because of the service nor the cleanliness(because quite frankly it doesn’t do well in either field); I go for its proximity and the originality of the food at The Kolache Factory(as a chain). My favorite kolaches — hands down — would be the Jalapeño Popper(beware of the spice if you’re sensitive) and the Potato Egg & Cheese. Don’t be surprised if you arrive later in the morning(like after 11am) and they have sold out of your favorites — for that reason, you may want to go earlier in the day if possible, especially if it is a weekend! This last time, I got the chocolate/cheese kolache(think chocolate cheesecake) but I really wasn’t a fan. I would definitely suggest getting the savory rather than the sweet kolaches but that’s just my opinion; I feel like the savory are more unique and worth the price. If it is sweets that you’re looking for, you may be better off elsewhere(like a fresh donut place or a bakery). I do like that the employees always ask if you’d like your kolache heated up in the microwave(just below their registers) and that all of the kolaches are visible from the counter so you know what they have and how much of it. Note: if you get a savory kolache, I would suggest always getting it heated up! For one of the fancier kolaches(like the savory ones I got), you’ll probably pay in the $ 2 – 4 range which is a pretty good deal since it only takes 2 of them for me to be full. Going back to the service… the employees at this Kolache Factory are not friendly nor do they express any level of enthusiasm whatsoever.

Tons of options! What I have tried and liked: — sausage and gravy — jalapeño popper — potato egg and cheese What I have tried and not liked: — the ranchero — chicken enchilada — Philly cheese steak

Customer service has never been their specialty here. So don’t expect a «good morning.» I asked the girl at the counter to warm up my kolache and she said it was already warm. Took her word for it and ate a cold $ 2.50 kolache on the way to work. I won’t be back.

I honestly don’t know why there are people complaining about the food here. Maybe they had a particularly poor experience but I would have to say my experience was much better than their’s. For one, my food was piping hot, so hot that I had to let it cool for 3 – 4 minutes. Also, despite having a fondness for Starbucks I gave their Katz Coffee a try and found it to be quite pleasing. Also while I was eating the manager walked up to me and asked if everything was good. I recommend this store to all my coworkers in the area!

This was a disappointment this morning. The kolaches were cold and the store was very dirty. It smelled like a sewer. Gross!

Would go back anytime! We decided to try these kolaches after friends told us that they were great. We got to the kolache factory around 11 and we weren’t sure if they would have a good selection but they did! We enjoyed sausage, egg and cheese, a potato egg and cheese, sausage and and cheese and a few sweet kolache. Great quick breakfast. When our family visits we will have to introduce them to kolaches.

Enjoyed my little empanadas. A friend and I decided to go to San Antonino for a Weekend trip and needed a quick breakfast. We stopped by to gather some Kolaches from this location. She bought the original sausage and cheese and I selected an assorted batch. My personal favorite was Eggs and bacon(love breakfast) .It was a good experience however nothing to compare to a Colombian spinach and cheese Empanada. Would I return to try the other kinds of Kolaches?

One of my colleagues brought a box full of Kolache Factory kolaches to the office this morning. I had a morning meeting, so I nuked mine for about 20 seconds and it reheated wonderfully. The bread is a bit doughy for my taste, but not undercooked. I like that they adhere to a good filling v. bread ratio — no huge portions of bread without sausage or eggs. What really made this a 3 star was the spiciness of the kolache; I blindly chose and got an egg, sausage & jalapeño. This was no ordinary, bland, sausage kolache with processed cheese. THIS was a burn-your-lips-off-dear-God-I need-more-coffee kolache. And it was so very good.

I have been to this location once and only once! The kolaches were COLD and I don’t mean the room temp they keep them I mean *COLD*! They were greasy and tasted really stale and it was between 9 – 10 am so there was no reason for them to be that nasty mid morning. I e mailed the corporate office and again they left a message for the manager. But unlike the HWY249 location this manager never e mailed me or called me back. I may one day decide to give this location another chance but it’s not likely. I grew up eating at the Kirby location from like a week after they opened it and I hold all the other locations to the standards that store maintained while I lived in that area.
