Excuse my fat thumbs as i write this review from being so full after eating at vitos. Had the cannolis… before the pizza of course. Which was deliciously sweet. Followed by Breaded mushrooms that melt in your mouth and a perfect opening act for the main event of 2 large pizzas. It was great that we could tailor each pizza to our liking! The staff was extremely friendly. We would definitely return for another full stomach of vitos famous pizza.

Solid 3. The cannoli aren’t bad but price is a little high. The Philly cheesesteak is legit and they make a Philly cheesesteak pizza. I prefer my pizza a little crispier and the side salads are basic. They do use whiz but expect about 9 – 10 bucks a sub. Not many healthy options, so they definitely cater to cheesesteak lovers.

It’s ok nothing special. Very thin pizza and a little over priced. Some people will like it but as a guy that used to live in the pizza Capitol of the world… No thanks

Dang good pizza. Simple. Real. Delicious. That’s all I was going to say but this thing seems to want an essay. When the food is as simple and as good as Vito’s that should be all that is needed, but I guess I can go on a little more. Good food. Eat at Vito’s!

Decent Philly cheesesteaks. We tried with provolone, American cheese, and cheese whiz separately. The bread is soft and the meat and onions are good, but not as flavorful as we have had at other places. I would recommend it with peppers if you like spice. We have not had the pizza, but it looks great. We will try it next time!

It was just okay. I ordered a large pizza steak sandwich for $ 10.75 and it did not come with any sides. No chips or anything. The sandwich itself was just okay. I found the whole experience underwhelming.

I consider myself an expert on sandwiches and subs. The ones here are not anything special. Bread doesn’t come toasted for the sandwiches so the meal ends up becoming this soggy disappointment of a sub. Minimal amount of cheese on the sandwiches, and they do not come with a side of anything(chips/fries/etc). $ 10 a sub with no side. For a place that has 4 stars on Unilocal based on reviews by those from«Philadelphia» they are sadly mistaken.

I don’t know what they’re famous for, but it can’t be their pizza. It’s just not that good. I tried a slice of the Hawaiian and a slice of the Junior(garlic white sauce w/spinach, tomatoes, ricotta cheese). Each slice was enormous, maybe justifying the price of $ 3.75 each. But neither of them were particularly special… everything about the Hawaiian was bland, from the tasteless red sauce to the canned pineapples and«canadian bacon» pieces. The thin crust had the same soft texture everywhere and wasn’t very good. I did like the creativeness of toppings on the Junior, with the giant blobs of ricotta cheese on top of spinach and tomatoes, but it was mostly the same deal as the Hawaiian. What little garlic white sauce in it barely tasted like anything and the crust was terrible. This is nothing like pizza in the northeast. It’s not even better than the pizza you can buy at the grocery store. I’m not familiar with the pizza places around here, but I can at least recommend MOD Pizza for far superior pizzas. However I do know that the Philly Cheesesteak here is supposed to be really good so maybe that’s the thing to get. But definitely not the pizza.

My absolute fav!!! And the nicest family owned establishment! They make you feel like family here. Their sauce is so good, I have learned that most places put too much cheese on their pizzas. Vito’s is a perfect balance of sauce and cheese!

Best pizza in town! Great food, prices and service! They have great sandwiches too! May I suggest the meatball sandwich!

Best pizza and hoagies! Love that you can get pizza by the slice too. The hoagie bread is amazing and baked fresh daily. This is a great place to bring your family. I haven’t tried the cheese steak yet but will soon!

As a native of Philadelphia, I am happy to have Vito’s Famous in the neighborhood… yummy cheesesteaks, Italian hoagies, pizza… so good! Thank you Vito’s!

Holy Gawd this place sucks! I don’t understand all the good reviews. This place is a box store. What I mean by that is everything comes right out of a box from Sysco/Restaurant Depot. Appetizers were awful, again, from a box. The cheese was from a bag, in a box. The cheesesteak, I think it is Steak-EZE…from a box and frozen. The bread was awful. The pizza dough they advertise as «hand tossed.» Yep, hand tossed after it defrosts from the frozen box it came in. The only thing not from a box was the Cheese Whiz, which came from a jar. Avoid this place. Drive down to Louetta. That street is full of good pizza. If you served a cheesesteak like this in Philly, Rocky would kick your ass! 3 hours later and I’m still trying to get the taste out of my mouth.

I came here on a Saturday for lunch and it wasn’t crowded. I tried the mac & cheese bites, Italian hoagie, and a Philly cheesesteak. It was ~$ 23 total. There were eight mac & cheese bites for $ 5, and they were worth it! The crust wasn’t what I expected(it’s basically a thin breading) but it worked! The filling was perfect too. The Italian hoagie had delicious super thinly sliced meats, which is just how I like it. The sandwich was served cold, with provolone, tomato, lettuce, and barely detectable seasoning. It’s simple, yet very tasty. It reminded me of New York subs from College Station(which no longer exists, sadly). The Philly cheesesteak was also really good. The meat is in nice, small pieces and very tender. I had it with provolone instead of American cheese or cheese whiz. I actually prefer it to Papa Geno’s in the heights! It was a very unfussy sandwich that was easy to eat. I shared the two small(8″) sandwiches and mac & cheese bites with a friend, but it was almost too much food. Next time I think I’d just do one sandwich because we were stuffed. Service was pleasant. I’m not much of a sandwich person, but this is the kind of place where I wanna come back regularly to eat. I’m very impressed!

Awesome!!! Being from Chicago, pizza is one of my staple foods. Texas can have bad influence on foods and trying to put a Texas spin on some foods can backfire. Simple is always a good thing when it comes to pizza. My son and I ordered a large half cheese/half meat lovers. Toppings went all the way to the edge with an extra swirl of sauce. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Sauce was not tart or over sweet. Customer service was spot on. Dining area was clean. TV was on but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation at your table. Be sure to also try a cannoli. That’s all folks. Awesome pizza. Great service. Clean facility.

A real good place to go for us homesick New Yorkers/Philadelphians. The sliced pepperoni pizza was on point. It’s amazing how some places could mess a simple thing like that but it was the perfect crunch without being burnt, and enough pepperoni to realize that it’s a pepperoni pizza. Philadelphia cheesesteak: YES. Had the Genos, Pats, and Sonny’s of Philadelphia and it may not be quite as good as those, it’s definitely damn close considering we are over a thousand miles awau. Better off getting the large as the small is half the size; more for dinner! Only minor complaint is the pizza slices need to be heated up warmer. Hardly a huge issue and will definitely come back here for more.

My family is from Philly. We grew up with several hoagie shops and/or pizzerias within walking distance. The best hoagies were made from freshly sliced meat as the hoagie was assembled. Fresh steaks and rolls and fresh pizza ingredients made the food a wonderful experience. Vito’s Famous is also all of that. We went to Vito’s Famous two weeks ago for our 10th trip in three years. My son-in-law and I split a cheese steak and a hoagie so we each got both flavors. It was excellent and authentic in tasted and excellent flavor.

Wow I want to give this place a 5 so bad but one major flaw the bread!!! I got a cheese steak today and let me tell you the steak is grilled to perfection, onions are so good long with the cheese whiz. All that was excellent and authentic but the store bought bread the cheese steak is wrapped in dumps this 5 of a cheese steak to a 3 sadly. Owners if you are reading this get real home made bread! Papagenos off of ella and 19th street fly the bread in every day fresh from new york! You guys we’d really benefit if you switched up and got real home made bread. That store bought roll kills this sandwich! I will go back for pizza. I really hope you guys consider using fresh made bread! Also it was 10.81 not that price matters but I would appreciate a fresh roll! Papagenos off ell a 8.50 large sandwich with cheese fries and fresh roll! Just saying

Now this is some GOOD pizza. Spring needed a solid locally owned NYC-style pizza parlor and this is the place! My boyfriend and I split a 16″ pie(half Honey Bee, half Meat Lovers). The Honey Bee was essentially a BBQ chicken pizza. If you like BBQ sauce, this pizza comes with lots of the sweet stuff! The Meat Lovers half must have been my favorite though since I found myself digging into two slices of this bad boy. I only went for one slice of the Honey Bee half. They were both delicious though. It just depends on whether you are in the mood for the peppery, spicy flavor of Italian sausage and pepperoni(spiked with Canadian bacon and meatballs) or the super sweet, smoky flavor of BBQ sauce. They put plenty of sauce on the Honey Bee, so be prepared! I usually am not much of a crust-eating kind of gal(I need cheese on my bread, please), but I ate the crust off of my slices because it was so nice. Vito’s excels at the not-too-thick/not-too-crisp crusts of New York-style pizzas. The pizzas here are«thin-crust» but they’re far from the crunchy cracker-thin crusts of other pizza places. 3 slices plus a salad filled me up, and 4 slices plus lots of soda filled up my boyfriend. Vito’s cuts every 16″ pie into 8 slices, so go for 2+ pizzas if there’s more than 2 adults in your party. I’m definitely coming back for good pizza!
