Whiskey Barrel

The whiskey Barrel is one of the only bars I go to. They are always getting more beers on tap. Every food item I have gotten has been delicious. Never had a problem with getting service even on super busy nights. Everyone has been friendly and respectful. Never have seen any of the negative things people have talked about on here. A great bar and grill and absolutely worth checking out

Please don’t listen to the negative reviews. This is a fantastic neighborhood bar owned by by a great couple. Please support a local business trying very hard as opposed to a corporate chain. You will only be an outsider once. Your second visit you are Norm from Cheers!

Hey bartender, keep talking to your Bud Light drinking friends. I’m just trying to order a $ 12 premium bourbon drink here.

Our service was terrible. Looked like one server on the floor. Wasn’t busy when we got there, but did fill up shortly afterwards.
Calzone was burnt and drinks were water, koolaid had more flavor than the drinks.
Out server couldn’t even tell us what type of margaritas they had.

We love this place. Great pizza (meat lovers is the best), craft beers on tap, super-​friendly staff and owners, heaps of pool tables, beer pong tables and darts.
Wednesday nights are burger, fries and a domestic beer for less than $ 5!
Kids welcome but not after 9pm. Fair enough!

Don’t waste your time. The «Service» was terrible and they make up the prices for drinks as they go. I really liked this place at first glance, the food took longer than expected, no big deal. We really only had one complaint and that was that there were peppers in my aunts food when she asked for them to be left out, again really not a big deal it happens. After that it was all down hill, the bartender’s seemed to think the whole thing was one big joke. The bartender in the Pabst flat billed hat would avoid us and laugh as he served others right next to us, the «Asian» gal didn’t seem to want our tips unless we would leave it under our empty glasses and looked the other way. I asked her if we did something and she told me no and that everyone else was a local and knew how to get her attention… Okay. I am from Iowa and I don’t travel a whole lot and I have to say this is exactly why I don’t. Crap service.
You want to feel unwelcome some where come to the whiskey barrel, tip well, and expect them to give a shit about their customer’s.
I could tell you every reason why it sucked but it all comes down to the «employees/​children» of the owner.

Being the only bar in town, and seems really clean for a bar, great atmosphere, and having pool tables and food… I really wanted to love this place. First time there, our food never came out. The server forgot to put in our order. It happens, no big deal but we said we didn’t want it since it was so late. Then she charged us for two other peoples drink tabs… ok, go in the back and get yourself together. When we tried to sort it out with her, she then told us we had to pay for the food because she had typed it in anyway. Whatever. It all got sorted out. Well since I noticed they were short staffed any way, about a week later when we were in there, I asked if they were hiring, the female manager (Asian) rolled her eyes at me. LOL, now I know why the service was so lousy when we were there the first time! The second time (and the last time) we were there for a birthday party and the same thing happened to my neighbors! Food NEVER came out, but was charged, our drinks took, no joke, 30 minutes to get to us. I tried to go up to the bar to order a second round hoping it would be faster, NO ONE EVEN TALKED TO ME! and there were three people behind the bar. But one acknowledged the two people standing next to me and took their order. One of them laughed and said «you want me to order for you», no thanks was my response. I’ll only go here again if there’s an occasion for a friend. At least the drink was good and the one beer was cold.

Great dive bar. The bartenders were extremely friendly and talked to my friends and I the entire night. There are 4 pool tables, which is difficult to find and they have a patio out back. My friends and I are veterans and we were welcomed by everyone and did not have any issues.
