Books for kids. Points for not being a big-box retailer; more points for specializing in books for kids of all ages. Busy Times Book Store is a good place to visit. It’s a cute little store with kid-size shelves and a kid-size table in the back of the store. Most of the books are the same kind found in school reading programs so there’s minimal worry about kids finding reading material that’s over the top inappropriate. Toward the front of the store was one bookcase that had offerings for adults — maybe to keep the adults occupied while the kids have a bookstore all their own to explore. Nearby were a few games and jigsaw puzzles. They also offer tutoring — an appropriate added service, it seems. On the back wall were some miscellaneous craft supplies which seemed a bit strange in a bookstore, but I suppose that might make it a one stop shop, too. I’d stop by here again, if only to round out the gift list from my friends whose kids never seem to have enough, or the right, books.
