Food was absolutely delicious, just a little over priced in my opinion. Our waiter, Tyler, was fast and attentive. Overall a great dining experience.

While the service was excellent, the food was terrible. I got the ribeye and had to send it back for being severely undercooked. Once I tasted it, it was fatty and flavorless. The Parmesan spinach was cooked frozen chopped spinach with melted Parmesan on it… not what I expected. My colleague got the teriyaki chicken bowl and it was basically soup. He said Lean Cuisine teriyaki tasted better. Our server, though, was prompt, efficient, and apologetic. I also got my ribeye for no charge, which was a nice touch since it tasted so bad and took so long to get right. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. Drive the 10 minutes to Fayetteville and find something there, as we should have done.

We eat here often — as a family(3 people) and as a group(12 – 14 people). Service is usually very good — tea and water glasses kept full, special requests handled smoothly, Etc. Food — large menu — something for everyone… Prime rib is often excellent but occasionally overlooked and/or tough. Have tried a lot of different menu items — biggest complaint is most items are over salted, over seasoned and drowning in butter and oil(it’s great for the fresh bread — which is served hot and fresh!!! But not ok for the pasta to be swimming knee deep in liquid fat). And WAY undercooked veggies(just be honest — it’s raw broccoli! Pick an veggie and 9 out of 10 times it’ll be raw!!)! Pizza is pretty good but more snacky than entrée worthy(Über thin crust, not much cheese, very little toppings) But yes I’ll be back! I know what to order(and what NOT to order)! Speaking of what to order — I Love the cheese grits!

I wish i could give them better rating. Went there for lunch. Told us it was 20 – 25 min wait. After 35 min, we are still waiting and was told we are no. 16 in line. That is just unacceptable so we have to leave!

The Marketplace Grill is a restaurant for any connoisseur of perfunctory dining. With a casual take on the Grill genre, they provide an excellent assortment of what seems like normal food items and then throw an unconventional twist on it. Before we began to indulge in our feast of unusual delight, they provided a most excellent appetizer of Chips and Queso. Now I know what your thinking. «But Mr. Land isn’t that rather typical of restaurants to do?» Well yes, yes it is. But this is Marketplace. Our pyromaniac of a waitress pulls out a lighter and LIGHTSTHECASOONFIRE! I gasp in a mix of emotions; fear, delight, anxiousness, hunger. Then it was time to order. I ordered the Margherita Pizza, made with italian sausage, fresh sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, fontina cheese, oregano and homemade tomato sauce. The only thing wrong with the pizza is the cook accidentally burnt the edges. But even Mr. Shakespeare didn’t paint Mona Lisa in one day. In all, I give this Grill 5 stars and I will be returning in the coming months.

Disappointed. We just moved back and we’re excited to eat here again but we’re so disappointed with the service. Server never brought us our bread, my wife found a hair in her chicken. When the server came by our table he asked how things were then walked off before we could answer. I seriously doubt that we will ever eat here again.

I wish MarketPlace Grill was a 4 – 5 star rated. Why? Because it is local, because the menu is unique — somewhat — in Northwest Arkansas. Because the services is great and because I enjoy the atmosphere. While I am not a frequent customer, I’ve patronized MarketPlace about once annually for fifteen or more years, so I feel a bit endeared. Apologies to MarketPlace, but my rating is two stars. My reasoning is two fold. First, I feel the place is priced higher than the quality of food that is served. The food is good, but on a scale of Taco Bell to PF Changs, Marketplace falls somewhere between Golden Corral and Appleby’s. Prices are not ridiculous, but they are a couple notches above the quality. For example, I recently had a Raspberry Chicken dish that was described as a smoky grilled breast finished with a raspberry glaze. Totally edible, the chicken was plentiful but plain(not smoky or seemingly grilled). The raspberry glaze was okay, but it really did not compliment the dish as strongly as anticipated. My second reason is our most recent visit. One of our party ordered a Cajun burger and fries. The burger was super(and priced right, I’ll concede.) But the fries had a strange, offensive flavor. When we told the waitress, she brought more fries of the same nature. I laughed at my companion believing this taste was all in the head, so I sampled and found it was distinctive and strong enough I actually removed the fry from my mouth. I take issue that the restaurant staff did not sample the food before serving more of the same. Maybe a bigger issue was that after we told the wait staff a second time, a manager eventually visited us and explained he sampled and felt that it must have been bad potatoes or something. He hinted this was not in their control. I’m pretty certain the flavor was due to dirty or fouled fryer oil — I’ve been around that track a few times — and I imagine the manager knew this better than I. I feel he may have been disingenuous with us which weakens my «endearing» feelings here. To his credit, we did not ask for, but he did comp the burger and fries — which was appropriate as my companion basically ate nothing once tasting the fries(I delightfully ate the burger, it was far better than my Raspberry Chicken!) MarketPlace, I hope you figure out that you can do better than this.

I had a 12 ounce prime rib that looked larger. Service was good, atmosphere was upbeat but not frantic. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. I would visit again.

We were in town for a college visit and this was recommended by someone local. Quaint building. Menu was varied and reasonably priced. Down side… no alcohol served. Good side… everything else! I got the Cajun pasta… a huge portion with lots of chicken and shrimp. .perfect seasoning. …absolutely delicious! The salad before was fresh. vinaigrette was fantastic! My daughter had a fried shrimp plate which was more than she could eat! I wish I could’ve had a cold beer too but I will be back

Great food and service. I was very impressed. I had a friend in the hospital down the street and called in an order to go. We had a steak salad, Cobb salad, club sandwich and chips and salsa. It was all great and I’m very picky about salsa, it was fantastic. The chips weren’t anything special but the salsa was great. The dessert caught my eye when picking up the order so I went back later and got the chocolate cake with ice cream and fudge sauce. It was amazing!

Food was good and the place is huge — we had about 30 people that ate lunch — good food and friendly service. Their sweet potato fries come with brown sugar cinnamon butter that makes them like dessert and were a tasty treat! Tons of menu options their Cajun chicken was tasty and the cheese grits and roasted veggies were really good! Splitting bills took a while for our large group. Oh and the bread the bring to the table is in a little pool of salted and melted butter… not healthy but Yummo!

Amazing service! Love the Shrimp and chipotle raspberry sauce! The Pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon was great as well. Grilled veggies had a nice grills smoke taste, were moist, and not burnt at all! Great customer service. Bread was amazing!

One of my favorite places to eat. Service is great and very friendly. The food is fresh and always prepared well. The green beans are the best I have ever tasted. The chocolate mess is to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal and reasonable prices.

I am increasingly reluctant to explore new territory. I tried out the Marketplace based on recommendations solicited at my doctor’s office. It was described as country cozy with a ‘clinking of glasses’ atmosphere. But it was definitely identified as a top three. Though the atmosphere is ‘countryish’ it is in no way cozy. It was noisy with nothing to absorb or cushion echoing noise. Not a place to meet for business discussions. Again – if you have hearing limitations you do NOT want to hold a business lunch here The service was adorable. High marks for that. I ordered a ‘pizza’ even though it was not one of the high recommendations made by my server – my mistake. This ‘pizza’ is in reality a ‘flatbread’ and they really skimped on the meager toppings. I ordered the slow cooked pork and I’d say the pieces of meat did not exceed 7 – 8 small chunks. I requested some changes but that doesn’t justify such a bare serving – for ten dollars. Do not order this item unless you want the equivalent of something smeared on a large cracker. I will not return to this establishment(although, as I said the service was delightful and attentive). I recommend instead, Neal’s or Venesian Inn – or for a business meeting and excellent catfish, ROTC.

We ordered the spinach dip to start. The server was very pleasant and the dip came put quickly. It had a side of sour cream and salsa which was unusual but nice. However the dip itself was quite bland. Not really sure what goes into spinach dip, but something seemed missing. I had the ultimate Cajun Jambalaya which being the ultimate it added shrimp to the order with the chicken. The dish was spicy enough but the chicken definitely tasted like freezer burn, as if it had been previously cooked and then thawed out in a hot bowl of Jambalaya. So overall 2 stars for the excellent service and zero stars for the food.

Marketplace is a very quaint«casual dining» experience with top notch food that belongs at a 4 star restaurant. Love the fake fruit stands and the spacious feel of this restaurant. Our waiter was on spot putting us at ease, knowledgable about all dishes and treated us like friends. Marketplace has a pretty extensive menu. I liked the combination platters that give you a good sampler of their signature dishes. Each combo platter comes with two meats and two sides. I ordered the combo plate with ribs, cheese grits, grilled vegetables, and boom boom shrimp. The portions are big so one is enough to share. The ribs were fall apart good and the boom boom shrimp had a touch of crunch with lovely sweet and spicy orange sauce. Cheese grits were delicious and veggies were fresh! My husband got a side salad and the salmon. The blueberry dressing was so good I was dipping my bread in it! However, I would stay away from the salmon. It wasn’t bad but didn’t taste extraordinary which I attribute to Arkansas not having any bodies of water nearby. We finished it off with the chocolate mess! I was hesitant at first because I think most sundaes are overpriced. I was wrong! We ordered the mini and it came out in a chocolate covered glass where you can use your spoon to scrape off the chocolate and dip it in the ice cream. The ice cream was a bit melted but the dessert was still yummy. I also saw too late that they have some 4 course meals for 2 starting at $ 22. Definitely want to try next time we are in town. If you are in Fayatteville do not miss out on Marketplace!
