I grew up with the Jones Center, taking figure skating lessons every Saturday. It’s an awesome facility with a pool and water slides, bball court and indoor track, ice skating rink, computer lab, gift shop, etc. It used to be free, but now, it’s $ 5 to ice skate and $ 2 additional for skate rentals. The rink is a good size. There are also lockers for free to use; you could bring your own lock of you want. You can go on the website to look for public skating hours.

My family and I have gone to Springdale, AR several times for the sole purpose of going to the Jones Center. We have attended birthday parties, a health fair expo, and of course swimming and ice skating. The lap pool is wonderful and the other play pool has a great slide for big kids(and adults) and a splash area for the little ones. The ice skating rink is large with plenty of seating and even bleachers for matches. My kids think it’s great to be able to do those 2 seasonal activities indoors all year round! Although they recently had to raise their fees, the low price is still a bargain and the best value for families in all of NWArk. Plus general admission to the building is free, so parents or grandparents can watch their children without any added expense of entry fees. They also have a gym with workout rooms, weights, basketball courts, and classrooms to rent for public use, community education, and a food court.

Great ice rink! It’s big, plenty of room for a crowd, and the crowd really isn’t thick. The ice stays skateable for the whole open-skate time, and the rental skates are only $ 2 and aren’t half bad. Great group activity!
