Toni’s Irrigation and Landscape

Toni’s price for bush trimming around our home and dead tree removal on our adjoining lot seemed reasonable enough and we chose him over two other competitive bids even though he could not start the work for three weeks. Then on the appointed day, he did not show — we had to call to find out what was happening. Then he called again and asked to delay another 24 hours in the second appointment. When he showed up on his own on the appointed Sunday morning, he wanted to renegotiate — the new price was double. Showing up alone spoke volumes — he was not ready to work.
He claimed their was more work than he had priced — that was his theory but he had no explanation as to why he had no workers with him, so even if we had agreed on a price increase, when the work was going to get done was definitely in question.
We had the feeling that this was just a bad deal and decided to walk away.
