White Castle

I went in the White Castle in Springdale, Ohio and got my standard order a ‘number 1′. I used to love White Castle hamburgers with a root beer and their special crushed ice.
Though I did order that day I will not be going back to WC for a while, at least not that location. The food was not good and the ice is different (this is a joke, kind of). Anyway, what really stood out to me was the general lack of cleanliness of the cook area. A customer can see the ‘kitchen’ and this one had stuff on the floor, one of the grills needed to be cleaned and the counters were messy. WC will have to do a much better job of sanitation before I buy there again.

When I was driving by White Castle yesterday. I saw their sign that said 3 new turkey burgers. And I thought that must be a typo? So I pulled in and ordered. It was not a typo but a tunnel into deliciousness! The turkey patties are made from Butterball Turkey.(it mentioned it on the board ;)) They had 3 to choose from: the bistro turkey which had a special mayo based sauce, turkey & cranberry, & the turkey dinner, which was comprised of sweet potato fries on top of cranberry sauce and the turkey burger. I ordered the one bistro turkey and a turkey & cranberry. However, they got the order wrong and gave me the turkey dinner instead. I don’t like sweet potatoes but I decided to try it anyway and it was heavenly! The sweet from the fries complimented the cranberry and turkey. The turkey patty was juicy white meat and I was pleasantly surprised. They are also reasonably priced & only here for a limited time. Let’s hope they decide to make them a permanent staple!

Wanted to try it out but both outside and inside stunk of stale grease so I left without ordering anything.
Bathroom clean though.

Typical White Castle restaurant — immaculately clean. Similar menu to all other White Castles.
I ordered burgers with everything, plus jalapeño cheese on a take-​out order. I later found that they forgot the mustard and catsup.
Otherwise, a good place to eat.
