I was getting my hair done just around the corner and Unilocaled restaurants near. Once I seen the reviews, I had to try for myself. The line to order speaks for itself. I am from NYC so I have tried plenty of Jamaican restaurants. so good. I am a foodie so I ordered a few things. My favorites are the jerk chicken of course, the Mac n cheese and the shrimps.

I was hosting a Bob Marley birthday party on February 6th and after doing some research I decided to purchase Spicy Beef patties from Jamaica Flavors on Springfield Blvd. It turned out to be a fantastic idea. I ordered 2 dozen spicy &1 dozen mild beef patties & they were a huge hit at the party. The people who handled & put together the order were extremely kind, courteous & professional. They labeled the tins & even cut some holes in the top so the patties didn’t get soggy during travel. I have been to Jamaica about 9 times and had patties from all over the island & the spicy beef patties from Jamaica Flavors were the best I have ever had outside of Jamaica. I WILLDEFINITELYBUYTHEMAGAIN

The best beef patty and coco I’ve had in over 20 yrs ! I’ve had my fair share it was my go to after school meal I would buy a beef patty from one spot then go across the street and get the coco bread of life from another spot yes I would go to two different places to get the perfect combo my friends didn’t get it they rolled their eyes I cared zero I digress. … Jamaica Flavors this morning I am happy that first taste of light soft warm and buttery coco bread and my eyes rolled back in my head the beef patty has the classic savory spicy filling with a crispy flaky crust. I gave also had boneless jerk chicken from here tasty as well !

Not impressed at all. This place used to be good but is decent at best. The chicken soup had basically no chicken in it. It was virtually tasteless and I had to put seasoning for my own cabinets to make it taste decent. The beef patties have too much crust on them and not enough meat inside. I know people go here because it is close and there are very few options in the immediate area. But they really need to step it up!

The food is good but parking sucks and the staff have no manners. No hello, no smiles, faces screwed up in a knot. Jeez! At least act like you wanna be at work. I like my service with a smile.

Boneless Jerk Chicken rice & peas and vegetables… mic drop. Small place, you can’t dine in. Parking is a hassle(easier to park across the street on the Pathmark side). But the food is very good. The staff is friendly, which is a pleasant surprise at a Jamaican food establishment. All in all, Jamaican Flavors has its foot on Golden Crust’s neck.

Urghhhh. Im giving this place 2 stars. One for the hope that my food would be good and the other star for the delicious chicken patties they sell. So let me begin. My curry chicken and rice and peas was dry. The sweet chili wings had no flavor at all but was tough like if they were overcooked. Might i add i bit into a huge mouthful of ginger. I was so hungry that I didn’t realize i was picking up the biggest piece of ginger ever, which happened to be covered in curry so it blended into the other pieces of chicken. I seriously thought it was a chicken leg. Anyway, idk if the food was terrible since i came so late(10:30pm) or this is how the food usually taste. Next time I’ll just stick to the chicken patties.

Being in Queens for the 1st time I wanted to try local favorite. My cab driver suggested this place and I owe him a big«Thank you» if I see him again. The place reminded of a local neighborhood place and there was a line out the door. A very good sign since all the locals are the ones in line. I had ordered the Jerk Chicken with the spicy sweet shrimp, I also had ordered the rice as my side. My brother had ordered the Bbq ribs with the Baked Mac and Cheese. Everything was phenomenal and tasted great. We had ordered way too much food but having leftovers isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Can’t wait to visit Queens again so I can try more of their awesome food.

This location is tiny but the service is short and sweet. The cashier was polite. It’s a clean take out spot. They have a small two seater bar to dine at. Your best bet is to place your order via phone and pick up. It can get crowded rather quickly. I ordered the stewed chicken with extra veggies. I always order a large that way I have leftovers for three days. As expected the food was good. You can’t go wrong with Jamaican Flavors.

I come to this location very often for my usual boneless jerk chicken. Firstly, the parking lot at this location is super small! You will end having to park on the street. Depending on the time you go, you will end up having to walk a little distance or double parking. Beware. Inside is pretty big. Its a basic establishment. It can sometimes be a little dirty though. Now on to the food, my favortie part. The boneless jerk chicken is AMAZE– BALLS ! Omgah, its so good. The gravy they use is great too. I usually get the small chicken, rice and peas with a side of veggies. Everyhing comes up to $ 8. You get a lot of food for the price. I would recommend!

I had Jamaican Flavors cater my bbq yesterday. The food was amazing. I received so many complements. It was definitely one of the highlights. The employees are so nice. I always feel welcome… a big difference between them and their Golden competitor across the street. I love Jamaican Flavors.

Before I even rave about the food. The staff are very very very nice. They make you feel welcomed there. It’s very appreciated. Got the famous jerk chicken sandwich. Always great. Also got a curry chicken patty. Very good. I was convinced by the cashier to try a pineapple and ginger home made juice. It was delicious. Try this place. You won’t regret it.

This is jerk heaven !!! Drove by and saw they have the drum out grilling that amazing sweet & spicy jerk chicken ! I had to stop in its honestly nothing better than having fresh grilled jerk from off the barbecue. You can order the jerk by half for $ 10 or full for $ 20. The full can be shared by two people it’s a large order, trust me you won’t need any side orders just get two pieces of coco bread and enjoy

They have renovated there counter and waiting area. It’s allot more vibrant and spacious. They allow you to see the food. Everything is in the open and nice the child’s that serve the food come to take your order. No more are the days off the cashier alone taking your order. The food has always taste great not you just get serviced much more quickly.

So far, this is the best Jamaican spot I’ve been to so far in Queens. Their food is awesome! I always jump around with what I order and all of the dishes that I have ordered are pretty good. They run out of things quickly, so order early and they do not deliver which is a bummer. Pricey like all other Caribbean spots and there is no seating available inside, take out only. But beware, they can have an attitude problem. I guess it’s a Caribbean thing(I’m Caribbean). Oh and it’s also hard as hell to get someone on the phone.

When the chicken patties are hot and fresh(which is a rarity) it is the best. Unfortunately the chicken patties are disgusting most of the time because they are cold and stale! Best bet is to go to their Jamaica avenue branch for CONSISTENTLY great chicken patties. Gave this place a 2 star simply becauseThe best part of this place is the seasonal jerk pop up spot that they have next to the restaurant.

The food here is always good. Most of the time I order the curry goat because it’s my fave. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer than usual because it can get crowded. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because the staff can have attitudes sometimes.

I’ve been a loyal customer to this particular Jamaican Flavors since I’ve lived in this neighborhood, and that’s a Looong time. They do have some bad days, but overall you can’t go wrong with this place. Atmosphere — the décor in this place is what you’d expect from a typical Jamaican spot. Bright island colors, strange(and slightly unnecessary) ornaments hanging from the walls. They make party/birthdays cakes at this location so they have a ton of display cakes on the walls, but they are caked(no pun intended) with dust. There’s a photo album on the front counter that displays all the different cakes so my suggestion would be to take those other ones off the wall. You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but I’ll definitely judge a restaurant by the it’s lack of cleanliness. Anyway, there’s one small bench off to the side where you can sit and wait for you’re order, but that’s it. This place is strictly«to-go.» Service — the service here is nothing special. The ladies behind the counter are nice enough. They get you in and out in a good amount of time, but don’t expect many smiling faces here. They’re not mean though, they just don’t smile or look happy… ever. Food — despite the lackluster service and shabby décor the food is always consistent and always on point. You won’t come to this place and wonder if they’ve got a new chef because the food will always taste just like you remember it. My usual is boneless jerk chicken with rice and peas. This is probably one of the only places that I’ve even seen boneless jerk offered, and it’s always delicious and moist and mouth wateringly good. My other go to item is the Mac and cheese. I’m not sure what type of cheese they use here, but it creates the perfect combination of ooey and gooey deliciousness. Overall I’d definitely suggest you stop by and try the food if you’re in the area. You’ll be glad that you did.
