This place was not good. The bar was limited. Good wine selection. The steak tasted burnt. We ordered it medium and it came out more like Pittsburg Rare.

Third time here since we moved back to the area. Amazing atmosphere, great service and excellent menu. The bone in veal parm is to die for, litle pricey but well worth the price. My wife loved the Chicken Florentine. Good place for a nice romantic night out…

Our first experience here was not a good one. The food was excellent but the service was not so good. The place opens at 4 pm and we arrived at4:30 so it was not busy by any means. We got our drinks right away and our food order in quickly also. The food arrived in a timely manner. Once we got our meals we never saw the waiter again until we were finished with our meals. He never came over to see how the meal was, whether we needed our drinks refilled. We were never even offered bread. I do not see us returning.

Amazing as always! For their anniversary, Victor and his staff didn’t miss a beat and once again he out did himself! Congrats and I hope he has another 50 years!

Good food with a pleasant atmosphere. Calamari appetizer was executed nicely but the portion was a little light for two. Enjoyed the penne a la vodka with chicken. Service was good.

I’ll start with the service, we sat outside at the bar, wasn’t overly busy. There were 3 seats available but almost the entire outside bar was available. The bartenders were not friendly at all! No personality and in fact just kind of rude. This almost ruined it for me, need great interaction especially at an outside bar! The food certainly started this review as a 5, my wife and I both had the Scrod Florentine. This may have been the best piece of fish ever! They nailed it! So good! If it was not for the horrible service this would have been an easy 5, hoping it was just a bad night because we need to go back just for the food! We will give the inside a shot next time! Total bill for 3, including drinks and a bottle of Presecco was $ 160, so maybe a little pricey.

Excellent food and service. Arrived late(around 9:45), and they took great care of us. I would definitely come back!

Lobster risotto– 10⁄10. Chicken carbonara 9⁄10. Came in for dinner tonight. We got apps and a bottle of wine. Everything was very good.

Adolfo’s is in a good location right downtown but it is just okay. There are many, many other italian restaurants in Springfield that are better. I had bolognese and it tasted a bit like jarred sauce to me, not slowed cooked. And for the pricepoint it should have tasted freshly made. Also, the interior seemed a bit tired to me.

For higher priced Italian food, the service was very lacking. We sat at the bar, and the bartender, a brunette who didn’t even introduce herself, only came to check on our meal once, my water glass empty, and at that time we were finished and ready to box it up. She filled my water glass, but it was a little too late. The barback did almost all the work, took our order, got our drinks, delivered our food. And they weren’t busy. There was a table of 10 filtering in mid-meal, and I think they were friends of the restaurant the way the brunette bartender talked to them. Which is obviously why her service was so lacking on our end, it was all given to them. I got the bone-in veal parmigiana. $ 25.95. It was good, but not sure it was worth the price. Probably won’t make the 15 minute trip to springfield to be back here. Not worth it.

Just okay. Arrived at 6:15PM. Not busy. Waiter was attentive but maybe a bit too attentive. Gave me only a a couple of minutes to review the wine list. As for the wine list, whites better than reds and surprisingly a weak list of Italian wines. Bread served with dinner was awful — hard and obviously frozen dough that was baked. Meals were just okay. Pasta dish better than the veal saltimbocca. Complementary limoncello as a nice surprise. Doubtful I would come back again.

Been here several times and always enjoyed our meal. The service last night was impeccable, waiter fast and efficient. Of the 4 of us at the table last night there was literally not one bite left on a plate. It’s that good.

I have been here a number of times over the last six months and I have always had a wonderful meal. Their menu selection is varied and interesting. The place itself has interesting décor, though a little dark. The outside patio area is shaded by trees even though its right downtown, so that is a plus. I found the bar to be well stocked and service overall has been excellent each time I have visited.

I happened to be in Springfield for one night and I happily stumbled upon this gem. The food was fantastic and I’m really critical of food. I had the chicken mushroom risotto and the flavors were really satisfying, the chicken was moist, the risotto perfect. It was not too salty. I actually wished I had been hungrier, because I wanted to sample more of their food. The place is noisy, but focus on the food. The atmosphere is convivial, not chaotic. My waitperson was just fine and she did not neglect me even though she was busy and I was dining alone. I’m really surprised at some of the incredibly nit picky comments people made to criticize this fine restaurant– the piano player’s chord progressions? No free soda refills? Come on! This is a solid dining establishment, the prices are reasonable and the quality is very high. I’m from New York and this place would make it there.

We decided to celebrate my daughter’s 25th b-day(12-Jul-2014) at Adolfo’s Ristorante, which was also our 1st visit. The restaurant décor is elegant with a modern American-Italian flare and rustic atmosphere. I’d consider it to be comfortably classy and welcoming. We had a lovely and very tasty dinner, which included a calamari appetizer and 3 entrées(lobster risotto, mushroom linguini & chicken parmesan). The waiter, waitress & hostess were knowledgable in their wines, pairing and food, providing us with the best information to make our selection. The food was fresh, superbly prepared and on time. Adolfo’s staff was very professional, friendly and attentive. Their courtesy began at the front door /drop off and extended throughout the restaurant for our entire dinner. Helping us commentate my daughter’s b-day, they played the b-day song while she blew out her small b-day cake. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a wonderfully tasty meal(lunch, dinner or appetizers/snacks for an evening with friends).

Good food, great service! Chicken Parmesan was excellent & food was fresh. Our server Samantha, was attentive & personable as well. Thank you as well to the Valet personnel who ran a block to give us back sunglasses we left at the Resturant!

We went here for a celebration dinner expecting top notch fine dining. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but the overall dining experience was disappointing. The pasta was cooked to perfection. It is difficult to find pasta that is prepared properly. Pasta preparation is as good as it gets. When we entered the staff was trying to figure out how to turn on the background music. They finally turned it on blasting loud. It was adjusted but was still way too loud. Our server was not able to answer some very basic questions regarding styles and flavor of beer, and showed no interest in trying to find out for me. I ended up with selections I did not care for. Overall service was not the quality one would expect from a fine dining establishment. I ordered the pink vodka with pasta. The pasta itself was wonderful, but there was so much salt on the dish that it was a little difficult to eat. I considered returning it but we were trying to have a nice fun celebration meal, and I didn’t want to ruin it(further). My partner had wild mushroom risotto. This dish was also extremely salty. Our bill was incorrect. There was also a private party going on outside, cranking out very loud bad 90’s pop music. You still might want to give it a shot, you could get a good server and the food might not be overly salted that night. There also is not another Italian style establishment in the area I could recommend. Don’t expect the service or food to be as high quality as the prices suggest, and you might have a fine experience.

I had some fairly good if slightly too crunchy«wild» mushroom risotto with a decent amount of good mushroom, including a few bits that might have actually been the advertised hen of the woods. Service was attentive, though we were served slightly rancid olive oil for our bread. We had the misfortune of going on a piano-bar night. The player was solidly mediocre. If you’re serious about music, you will be very disappointed. I’d say he’s not bad for background music, but his questionable musical choices(songs and playing the wrong chords) actually interrupted conversation at our table several times as we all paused in mild horror.

Great restaurant! The food was divine! I had a chicken parm and my dad had chicken Marsala! The owner victor was a good host and made sure we had drinks while we waited the 30 minutes for our table due to the crowds! More of an adult restaurant and very tasteful. Our waitress was very very nice and the food did take a little long but during that time we enjoyed a delicious Caesar salad and bread with their dip!
