American Airlines is a low cost provider with little customer service. They can’t do their jobs right even when you specifically tell them and then they expect you to pay because of their screw ups. The phone is not a real person and the customer service numbers are useless.

I have flown in and out of Springfield Branson National Airport several times. Today is the first time I remember being the first flight out. I checked in online, had my pdf saved on my phone and printed the boarding pass just to be safe. I was cutting it a little close for a 0455 boarding time when I arrived at 0430. I am use to going through check-in and security quickly, but holy cow — even I was sweating it. When I walked in, there was a long line at the AA’s counter. We are supposed to start boarding in 25 minutes and there is no one working the counter? Incrediably, three AA employees came out and got us all taken care of in record amount of time for our 0525 departure. No kidding! Their self service machines do not print your luggage tag. You just go up to the side of the counter(around the line) and the agent calls off the names of customers who have checked in and the tags for your luggage. I don’t see how Springfield Branson National and the airlines who operate here could be any more user friendly.
