Apartment Mart of Springfield

I had a friend who used Apartment Mart in Springfield to manage his town-​homes, At first, It sounded like a great deal. Then things started happening, such as letting someone move into the town-​home for less than a week, and then giving all their money back because they had complaints after they left. I agree, you don’t want someone like that moving in, but to give someone keys and have the tenant not even change the utilities into their name is unacceptable. The kicker was that apartment mart did not even tell the owner about the issue, acted like they didn’t know about it when the owner brought it up (another tenant brought it to owners attention). Apartment mart told the owner «we will look into it and get back to you». It has been a few months now, and they have yet to rent 1 town-​home. They don’t advertise the town-​home for rent (that I can find). I sent an inquiry about town-​homes for rent in Springfield area and apartment mart did not even offer my friends town-​home in the inquiry. When my friend brought it to their attention, their response was that he had valid concerns and they will be having a staff meeting to address the concerns. It just seems like a total waste of money to pay someone to collect rent and do nothing else. They have provided service for cleaning and repairs at an inflated rate. I don’t like my friend being taken advantage of like this, so I give them 1 star.

Wild parties and noisy neighbors. TV so loud you hear it all through your apartment until 430 in the morning. When you complain the management goes after you. The apartment was dirty filthy when I moved in. The carpets weren’t even vacuumed. Lots of damage to the vinyl flooring cuts and tears. Water damage on the walls and paint overspray everywhere. And when your neighbor cooks, you smell it for the next 3 days. Run away from this place as fast as you can.

UPDATE: Lake Pointe apartments have a serious spider and cricket infestation problem. Management will not provide pest control, and they ignore maintenance requests related to the issue. There are cracks in the building foundation which allow pests to crawl into the living space. Poor construction and poor management.

Secure area, decent apartments, convenient office hours and location. Apartments are cheaply made and very close together though. You will hear your neighbors’ every move and it gets very loud.
