Ardent Care-Renee Watts DDS

I’ve been to Ardent Care twice and both of my experiences have been entirely positive. On my second visit I had two cavities filled and Dr. Watts and her staff were quick to get me in, explain what was going to happen, and complete the procedure in an hour or so. A few days later they even called to follow up. I’ll be going back for a cleaning as soon as I can schedule one.
They have my confidence and if you are looking for a new dentist try them out. 5 stars.

Dr. Watts and her staff are gentle, knowledgeable, and respectful. For the first time ever, I don’t feel I have to lie about how often I floss so as to avoid the guilt trips! They offer you numbing ointments, blankets, and neck pillows to increase your comfort. Not a single complaint from me!

Dr. Watts’ office always gave top-​notch care and treated us with respect, until two appointments were cancelled. From that point, I was told to pre-​pay the entire cost of treatment in cash, then wait to be reimbursed by insurance. The one time I did this, it took a month to get my money back.
I attempted to work out a compromise with the office to where we paid the deductible up front, and at first I had an appointment booked successfully. However, their finance manager LeeAnne called a week after I booked the appointment and said, «Yeah, soooo, [the scheduling assistant] was supposed to tell you you still needed to pre-​pay the full cost, but she didn’t.» When I asked why we couldn’t just pay our deductible upfront since we had very good insurance and our last appointment was kept without issue, she kept repeating the phrase «it’s policy» in a condescending tone, as if that explained everything. I then asked if this was permanent or could be addressed later, and she didn’t give a straight answer: «well it’s possible, but yeah it’s permanent.» (Seriously?)
As much as I appreciated Dr. Watts’ expert level of care, I was humiliated and made to feel like a second class citizen, and have switched to another dentist (and yes, all my appointments are on time).

I have had some horrible dentists but Renee is not one of them! She has a great personality and is very gentle when it comes to those scary procedures. Her staff is very friendly and her office is very welcoming and calming. I would recommend Renee to anyone and everyone!

Sorry my experience is far less than acceptable. I didn’t even get to meet the doctor, the staff or see the inside of the office. I made an appointment and they were a no show, the whole office. I did get to talk to the lawn care staff, they showed up for work on time. The staff thought it was pretty funny when they called later to see where I was, fibbing saying they were there when they were not or they would have seen me standing outside their front door. Not really what I’m looking for in a doctor.

Dr. Watts is a fantastic dentist. Her staff takes the time to make you feel comfortable, listens to your concerns and thoroughly answers questions. I have always been nervous about going to the dentist but after switching to Ardent I almost look forward to getting my teeth cleaned. Highly recommended.

I recently switched to Renee from another Eugene-​area dentist. Boy am I glad I did. While the other provider was competent, I always felt I was being «sold to» while I was there. I felt less like a patient getting cared for and more like a walking potential revenue stream.
My experience at Renee’s practice was just the opposite. She provided expert, pain-​free dental care. On top of that, she provided a variety of options for care, and allowed me to prioritize them based on my preferences. Specifically, I didn’t feel she was «shopping» for procedures to charge me for. She was instead interested in finding problems that were symptomatic and ensuring I was satisfied. Great communications by her and here entire staff.
I felt comfortable and well cared for at this practice. The crown she installed fits perfectly and is as comfortable as my own teeth.
She also charged less than half of what I was quoted at the other practice.

I hadn’t been to the dentist for several years due to bad experiences. Dr. Watts and her staff are amazing, caring and very gentle. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Watts and her entire staff = a five star dental care experience. This comes from a man who never had a good experience at the dentist until coming here. I would drive up to six hours (from Seattle, where I now live) to get my teeth cleaned there.
They work very well with people who experience dental phobias and anxiety, and they also offer sedation for those who want that service. They also went above and beyond with me because I experience Type IV Chemical Hypersensitvity and am allergic to all the gloves normally worn at a dentist/doctor’s office. They ordered and wore special green gloves that I didn’t have any allergic reaction to and always had them in the back room with my name on them.
They also work very well with people who are highly sensitive to all kinds of things (water temp, sounds of the dentist office, difficulty breathing, etc.). I can’t say enough about how awesome this dental practice is and how warm these professionals are at each visit. I wish there was a place like this in Seattle!
