AT&T U-verse

…ATT basically putting it, stole a modem from me.
…I bought a modem from them, then another modem from best buy several years ago.
…On Amazon, I bought one that I did not know was a «rental unit» and started to get charged a «rental fee.» April 5^th.
…When I called in March, the lady told me to toss the «rental unit» into the trash. I had her repeat that 4 times. SO I did as instructed. since I paid less than 20 no biggie.
…Then this month, I STILL had the modem rental fee.
…The lying jerk at ATT tech wanted me to read off a serial number, and I kept replying, why don’t you read me the offending serial number since you claim its showing up on your boards.
…He kept refusing, and started to threaten my internet connection if I did NOT read the serial number of one.
… SO I read the serial from the one I had bought from them several years ago, and the lying thief said that was the rental!
…How can it be the rental, since the rental fee didn’t start until the 5^th of April and this modem was used for more than4 years without a fee? BECAUSE THEY STOLE MY MODEM!
…As soon as I can get the cable company to set up an install date, in July, I will.
…ATT owns one of the satellite companies and is in the process of buying the other. So that’s 2 more companies that the thieves own!
…Why did I have more than pone modem? Because ATT takes up to a week to respond to a call for a tech to come out to your house.
…3 times a tech came out, to find some «wiring fault» that kept me offline for about a half day or more for the week plus waiting.
…They can NOT deliver on promised speeds!
…Recently, I got an offer to «upgrade my speed;» to 3mps, but I never saw it near that! It got above 2 mps, to 2.1 3 times, then dropped down to 2.4mps or lower.
…Half of a promised speed is not right!
