This place has really gone down hill over the years and last time I went, they screwed up my order the first time and then when they remade it, which has never happened to me anywhere. Also, I had the worst service I have ever had because when the server wasn’t completely ignoring us, she was really, really rude. No wonder it’s not that busy on pie rush Wednesday anymore.

I know, I know, call it a moment of weakness or just a moment where I wanted to yell out to Siri to tell me where’s the nearest pie house! I haven’t been to a baker square in quite some time, most of the locations near me actually closed — so when I saw this place was open relatively late and it was free pie day(on Wednesdays) — I was there. Granted there were a lot of elderly folk there and they were moving at a snails pace – my waitress and food were the complete opposite. I was feeling like a veggie kinda night(you know to offset the pie I was about to inhale) and they were quite accommodating. I had a veggie omelet — skipped the pancakes/toast — -and asked for some grilled veggies instead for my sides. Food was tasty, my order was correct, and my water glass was never empty. Since I had a cornucopia of veggies — I opted for the nutella pie — -it was heavenly! Overall I received great service, good food, and fab pie!

I ate here with some trepidation after reading the reviews but I am pleased to say the food was really good. I had the«Chase» signature burger and substituted the beef patty with a Boca patty. It was delicious. The fries were thin and cooked just right. Please note that I am writing this before trying my slice of pie which is included. All I can say is that I enjoyed my food and that you should try it for yourself. :)

Oh this is not gonna be good. I had really low expectations when I walked in, but I really didn’t think it would be this bad. I live in St. Louis and never, ever eat at chain type places for the same reasons as this. The food was pretty bad, I ordered a combo deal that came with bacon lovers Blt, salad and soup. For starters the«bacon lovers Blt» had a whopping two pieces of bacon. Really? If I love bacon I should bring my own bc it’s definitely not on this sandwich. On to the salad, I chose a garden salad with a strawberry vinaigrette. The vinaigrette tasted like a nail salon smells and the croutons tasted burnt. There was on slice of cucumber and one tomato wedge, pretty skeet. The soup was probably the worst, it was described as a creamy tomato basil soup. There was tomato, I couldn’t taste any basil or anything but grease for that matter. There was a grease slick on top the soup that was reminiscent of joe Rodgers chili. If you know what I’m talking about you must be thinking, no way. I assure you it was bad. Maybe from always eating fresh, local food prepared by folks who are passionate about the food they make and are paid well gives me to high of standards, but I wouldn’t bring an enemy here to eat. My server was nice, and the tea was alright, but heed my word, skip this place!

Their food is not good. but their pies are amazing! I use to drive a couple hours out of the way just to get their pies! especially during spring/summer. they have the best hawaiian pineapple pie. i don’t think they have it anymore so i don’t frequent at the bakers square as much. but when i’m passing by or if there’s one near buy, i will get their peanut butter cup ;p

This place was recommended to us on a road trip. Up front, I would never come here again considering all the other options around. We walked in to a very confused employee with a sad face. Uh oh. I don’t like sad employees. It tells me a lot about an establishment. The larger portion of our party was already seated. Total, we had 16 in our party, so they had pulled together some tables but were short two chairs. Two of my kids had to go eat alone. That’s OK. They were OK with it, but no attempt was made to bring over another small table or just a couple more chairs. The clientele was for the most part over sixty. There were probably ten other people in the place other than our group. Specifically, I can remember six employees that included servers/greeters/cashiers, etc. People out front to work with customers. With a total of about 25 customers in the place, WHY did they all seem sad and confused? We were a very quiet, polite group. We were traveling because of our awesome communication skills, and we use them wherever we go, so it was NOT us! I also noticed two different customers not in our group physically track down an employee due to an issue of some sort. I don’t think their experience was satisfying, either. To make a long story short, after nearly every ticket being incorrect or given to the wrong person, and after a mediocre meal, we packed up and moved on. The best thing about this place was the restroom. The pies looked good, but they weren’t in my diet. Needless to say, on the return trip home, we did not stop here again.

Great place for breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner/late snack — Yummy Pies! Reasonably priced. Family-Friendly. Not too busy — we got seated right away. Excellent service & friendly host/servers/staff. Most patrons are there to eat… but we did see a student who was eating/studying/working on her lap top(There’s Free WiFi). we asked her on our way out if students go there at night to study, and she said sometimes they do. Given that we ourselves study out at times, it’s nice to know this could be place to study at night like we do at our late night coffee shops in the bigger cities.(Unfortunately, Springfield does not have a lot of late night study spots.)
