I went in today for the first time after the lunch rush, about 1:30pm. The menu looked really interesting, lots of vegetarian options which is rare. I decided on a spinach and garlic burrito and was really looking forward to trying it. Then after 5 minutes of standing there waiting while the cashier finished up chatting with the couple in front of me I decided they just didn’t want my business so I left. Maybe some day I’ll go back but I doubt it, chatting with customers is good but not while others are waiting to put in an order.

Food was fresh, savory, and prepared for us. The wait was short as well. Very good, and I will come here again. Lunch for two was $ 20, so it may be in the $$ category, but it was worth it.

I love Bueno. Springfield, NoHo, Amherst, they are all great and healthy. Maybe the quesadilla is only healthy of you ask for light cheese. I love that they have the option of getting your own sauce; hot, mild or green. BURRITOS!!!

Best Burritos in Western Mass! The menu has a ton of delicious options and there’s always new specials to try. You can eat in, but the dining area isn’t anything special. I typically carry-out, which I believe most patrons do as well.

The best burritos! Quesadillas were great too, but nothing beats those huge burritos.

Always have a great experience when I get food from Bueno. My boyfriend introduced me to this place last year when we moved in together– he’s been a springfield resident his whole life and absolutely loves Bueno. Burritos are huge and absolutely delicious!

Quality, authentic stuff here. I got the BBQ Pork quesadilla, which I was told is their most popular. It’s nice and huge, and comes out on a slightly intimidating, silver, shield sized platter complete with rice, beans, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Piping hot and delicious. I would definitely be back to try the rest of the menu, as I have a sneaking suspicion it’s all amazing here.

Spotlessly clean dining room and bathroom. Fast service. Reasonable prices. Brown rice available as an option. On the downside, the pulled pork burrito was mostly rice and beans. Meat was light and kind of crunchy, and very little availability of mix ins. Also, either the burrito or the hot sauce was seriously salty or full of MSG. I guzzled 5 glasses of water before going to bed. This place could be great, but it’s not there yet.

I ordered from Bueno occasionally during law school if I anticipated a long night in the library, because with the exception of this local Mexican chain, there aren’t many decent take-out options in the Sixteen Acres/Sumner Ave area. It was a great standby, because the prices are super reasonable, and there are a lot of standard(bean) as well as slightly-off-the-beaten-path(chickpea and red curry) burritos to choose from.(They also sell tacos and quesadillas.) My husband and I stopped by for a quick dinner when we were in the area recently, and found that nothing has changed– and in this case, that’s a good thing! Ingredients are fresh, service is friendly and quick, and the burritos are some of the best around.

I don’t even know where to start. Been a long time since I can say best food. Had the steak quesadilla with rice and bean. Salsa is prefect. If you are looking for good food for a good price come here!!!

Let me start off by telling you: this, my friends, is the go-to place for anything! As a college student, coming home to Springfield is a good time to start reconnecting with friends and my friends and I are always willing to dine here. One of my friends would eat here almost 3x a week and I remember coming to a point during high school where 3x a week was a routine. My favorite order is a grande BBQ chicken burrito. I have gotten the fish tacos and BBQ chicken quesadilla before and those are really good too but nothing compares to a good olé BBQ chicken burrito. Bueno’s burritos are BIG and when you pay just 50 cents more, your burrito basically evolves. I come here all the time with my friends and my boyfriend and I have probably eaten here at least 50 times in the past year. In the past couple of weeks alone, I have probably visited around 10 times. I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s so good, reasonably priced, big portions, and great people. Can’t get any better than that!

Amazing find. Sautéed spinach and garlic quesadilla was delicious. Grande shrimp burrito. Salsa is worth the 50 cents. So fresh and very tasty. A+. Nice, clean and well kept interior.

First off I must say the staff is incredibly hard-working, that was easy to see. Everyone was back there busting their asses! The cashier was friendly and polite. However– I’m really unimpressed with the quality of the food. Ordered a grande burrito with extra sour cream and cheese. I paid $ 1.50 extra for those ingredients and the burrito is bone dry. The steak is chewy and fatty. The chips were mediocre, tasted like Tostitos. For one dollar I got a tiny little side cup of guacamole. I almost feel bad complaining about the food when the staff seemed so great, but when I pay extra for something I expect to get it. I don’t think I will be back.

A good tasty BIG burrito when you want one. No frills dining. Authentic flavors. A very small dining room, order at counter and you self bus your table. I always order the steak and mushroom quesadilla. It’s fantastic. Horchata was available on my recent visit too. Most meals under $ 10.

I have never been a really big fan of burritoes before, but let me just say I was in Heaven here at Bueno Sano’s! Okay, not literally Heaven but close enough, lol! I tried the veggie burrito just because I thought it would be a new experience. I can’t even remember the last time I’ve had a burrito, and I definitely don’t think I’ve ever tried veggie ones before either. But the burritoes,(yes I did go ahead and ordered 2 of them they were that good!) were DELICIOUS! They were STUFFED with seemingly ever veggie imagineable, and the wrap itself also did not disappoint. The burritos also were not to hot or spicey either. What a disappointment that would have been if I couldn’t have eaten them because of that, but they were seasoned just mild enough for an «old» lady’s tastes, lol! There is not really anything else to say. The service was great and the food even better.(I also tried a side order of rice and beans which was also pretty good, once I added a little salt and pepper to really bring out its true flavor) So I encourage everyone to go ahead nad try one for yourself if you happen to be in the Springfield area. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

My hubs really likes this place, if he’s on his own for lunch/dinner it is his go-to. I agree that the burritos are really good. I don’t know if the beans and rice are really worth it, but the food in general tastes fresh and like it is seasoned well. Definitely a good value, and quick service.

At last! A decent Mexican restaurant in New England! I ordered take-out from this location a few days ago. Ambiance: -«basic» small restaurant set up: lots of tables with uncomfortable chairs and sparse décor –clean and well kept –definitely not«take your date here» material, but great for a quick bite to eat, or take-out Staff: –ordering over the phone was a breeze, but a little bit difficult to hear/understand –take-out was ready in 10 minutes –by the time I had gotten to the restaurant(8:30PM), the salsa station had already been broken down and it looked like they were closing, even though their hours are til 9PM. I don’t like feeling rushed, especially if I’m dining in and hope that this was just a fluke. –not sure if there’s waiter/table service, I’m pretty sure you just order at the front and pick up your food as your name is called. Food: –I ordered two chicken burritos(one poquito for 50 cents less; or you can get one made extra large for 50 cents more), and an order of grilled jalepenos. The total came to around $ 17. –both me and my fiancé were pleasantly surprised at the size of the burritos(similar to Chipotle’s) and the quality of the ingredients therein: grilled chicken, black beans, mexi-rice, pico de gallo, lettuce, and salsa. We had them throw in a couple of extra containers of «hot» salsa, and while it wasn’t blistering, it definitely put out some heat. Burritos got a solid 4 stars. The chicken was a little dry, but that’s about it. Awesome tortillas. –the grilled jalepenos were disappointing. They were not quite cooked all the way through(relatively crunchy) and the only spicy bite was the very tip of the pepper. The cream cheese filling left something to be desired: no seasoning, no flavor whatsoever. I’d skip these even though they were relatively inexpensive(~$ 3 for 3 peppers over rice). I’ll hit up Bueno y Sano anytime I get a craving for Mexican food. It’s not the most authentic place I’ve ever seen, but it does put out a pretty good product. Especially for those who are vegan or vegetarian, this place does veggies justice! The grilled zucchini(with added mushrooms) burrito has my name on it!

this is a smaller Chipotle type chain. they have a pretty similar menu as well as the prices. i guess one upside to Chipotle is you get to ask for double portion of certain sides whereas here they just make it and call your number when it’s ready. it’s not on the menu but you can ask for a bowl. their food was pretty good but the beef was dry and salty. the place got an interior update judging by the older pics on Unilocal.it looks nice and can hold about 25 people. the tables are fixed to the ground so you can’t move them around. it’s not my favorite place but i would recommend it.
