My family and I have been using the services of Doctor Carter for more than 20 years. Doctor Carter is extremely insightful and he genuinely cares for the welfare of his patients. His work with my special needs daughter throughout the years has made tremendous positive changes in her life. She is currently undergoing additional testing within his office for entrance into college. His office staff has a keen sense of urgency and has always gone the extra mile to get us in quickly. I highly recommend Doctor Carter and his staff for a clear path forward. Doctor Carter is extremely caring, insightful and knowledgeable. I owe him a lot.

I went to him for an evaluation after a really bad auto accident. I met with him once initially and then all the other testing was done but a graduate student. Then I met with Dr Carter again for the final report. Then for him to give that report and other paperwork they needed to my lawyers office he demanded more money! We ended up having to give it to him. This man is just interested in the bottom line! He and the other doctor he had me working with suggested that I apply to SSI but then have done when asked to send the paperwork on to them have asked for ~ get this ~ $ 500 more! Watch him. Nobody in his office jumps without him saying boo. This man is too much. I am going to try to do this as no stars but i don’t think it will let me but that is how I feel.

Dr. Carter is creepy and his practice is very poorly run. You or your child, who may really need help, will NOT be helped very much at this office. First of all, it’s really difficult to get in to see Dr. Carter(month++). He is the gatekeeper of getting help here. Then, it’s another long period of time(in our case over three months and counting) until you get testing, are able to schedule a required meeting with the Dr. and then receive a report that you might need for the school to get help there. There is quick turnover of therapists and alot of them seem to be students or near students. The office assistants either don’t answer the phone(you have to leave a message and they rarely return calls) or can’t answer questions or help you very much other than slotting you in to an appointment with whichever therapist happens to have openings(usually the very new ones). I’m thinking that you might be in crisis situation by the time you try to contact this practice; that makes the absurdity all the more tragic. About the only thing I noticed this office is really good at is making sure that it bills insurance and gets paid. We never had to worry about that! I didn’t want to write such a negative report, but if you are actually in crisis or just having problems, I thought you might want to know our experience here.
