Checkers

I’ve been an infrequent customer here over the years, and am updating my review, based on recent visits.
I prefer to order inside, rather from the car, to see their two dime piece CSR’s, Princess and Kristen. Love them both, without really knowing them.
This Checkers location is, in my opinion, the exception to most fast food joints in that it is staffed with nice, kind, decent people who are doing the best they can. Can’t ask for more than that. It is a testament to the franchisor or owner or manager, who obviously has a screening process.
As for the food, they go to market in the same method with meal combos. And they have an extensive value menu.
As I’ve been saying for years, their cajun-​spiced fries would be an industry best if only they’d reduce the oil by 20%.
Wings got very costly, six bucks for five wings, but this is everywhere. Somehow the wholesale price of wings outruns breasts. Lots of choices on the seasonings – parmesanu, Asian honey BBQ.
Checkers has slowly extended their menu over the years, adding dessert items, loaded fries and hot dogs. Can’t comment on the quality, haven’t sampled.
Looking forward to my next visit, especially if Princess and Kristen are there. XXOO

So this past Sunday, I went to this checkers and pulled in to place at 10:45pm after waiting in the drive-​thru for over 3 minutes, no one came to take my order. The place did not close until 11pm, I think they should have still took my order. As I went to pull off from the parking lot, I noticed them turning off on the lights. I think they just wanted to go home and not be bother with another order.

The shame I feel about ordering 2 Big Bufords to eat behind the wheel of my Shamemobile is balmed by the explosive deliciousness of these burgers, easily the best drive-​thru burgers in New Jersey. Just don’t tell the missus about my dark, dirty deed. Crap! I just got sauce on my shirt. And my safety belt.

Ok so I haven’t been to a Checkers since I left NC but I was surprised that NJ even had one. I ordered the bacon cheese fries and a sweet tea! I recommend this on a cheat day.
