Coldwater Creek

I will preface my review by saying this is not my type of store at all. I think it’s for ladies who are quite a bit more mature (I don’t want to say «old» because that’s not quite it) and have much deeper pockets than I do. I only wound up shopping here once due to a gift card, but I will say it was somewhat impressive. Their store on the outside «rim» of Battlefield Mall has a very nice cozy feel and is immaculate. The staff don’t seem to have a chip on their shoulders like in some stores of this type; I found them to be very friendly and helpful. The clothing here seems a lot different than the Coldwater Creek of even 5 – 10 years ago (which was mostly like rompers with embroidered sunflowers). It’s actually somewhat stylish, if a tad high in price. They seem to have very nice quality items and a style that I’d describe as work-​appropriate classic meets bohemian, but definitely for those who are more conservative (not true bohemian style). As I made my purchase the saleslady gave me a mini-​speech about how they stand behind their products and will take returns for any reason and so on… that was refreshing. While it’s not a store I’ll visit much, it is a good shop nonetheless.
