As always on a Sunday, this restaurant was packed! Our hostess was greeted us, and we were seated within 10 minutes. Fantastic service from JJ(John). We felt welcomed and well-served here. Good was quick & good quality. I got their special: boneless fried chicken, mashed potatoes w/gravy, broccoli, and buttermilk biscuit. Husband got three pancakes w/butter, bacon, eggs. Blackberry tea was okay(I don’t like syrup). Restaurant and bathrooms clean and maintained. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

If I could give it 0 Stars I would. We went to this location this morning for breakfast after spending the weekend in town for my a Competition. First off it took about 45 min for a table, which for a Sunday morning after church and for a table of 7 doesn’t seem too bad. When we finally were called, we were led to a table that wasn’t cleared so we had to go to the fireplace area til it was cleaned. Once we sat down, it took about 10 min to get our drinks ordered. She didn’t even ask what my 4 year old was drinking. She comes back short a coffee cup and had to return with that and my daughters apple juice. The coffee was warm. Took our food order and we assumed that all was good and the breakfast would be what we are used to from CB. This is where the experience took a horrible turn for the worst. When the food comes back, she messed up not only my sons order, I guess sirloin steak sounds a lot like chicken fried steak(he ordered the sirloin and she even asked how he wanted it prepared) but the food was warm at best. She had the nerve to tell him what he ordered vs just admitting she placed the wrong order.(Didn’t know you ordered chicken fried steak a certain way. It’s fried isn’t it?)The grits and gravy had a skin on them. My daughter ordered a pancake. The butter wasn’t melting at all. When I touched it the pancake was cold. I waited a few moments for the server and I eventually went to find a manager and explain to him what the problem was since it’s really not the servers fault the food sucks. He couldn’t comprehend that the butter wasn’t melting. I brought him back over and his response was«Well what else is wrong?» I said besides all the food not being hot, nothing. He turned around and walked away without saying a word. The waitress came back and asked how things were, I sent my dish back as I will not eat cold food that is supposed to be hot when it’s delivered. I asked for a new pancake for my daughter and seemed as if I was bothering them. When the new one came back it was the same. I decided that a 4 year old starting to whine about not eating while almost everyone else was almost done was more important than asking for a 3rd pancake. At this point, my mother, father, girlfriend and 2 daughters were done eating and my sons food was finally delivered by a completely different manager. This was about 45 mins after we got our initial food and after asking 4 – 5 times where his steak was. The server kept making excuses as to why the steak wasn’t there. I asked the manager why it took so long and if he thought it was acceptable that the table was done eating and my sons food was just now arriving. His response was«no» and«we refired the entire order». Why would you refire and entire order for a missing steak? Shouldn’t a customer that has already ordered and the rest of the table be a priority? His response was, «we had other orders come in that pushed his out.» He then proceeded to ask my son if he still wanted it in a very sarcastic tone. My girlfriend then asked the manager if he was planning on bringing my food out soon. Now mind you I’ve been sitting here the whole time, no food, no coffee since the first one and lots of excuses. The manager then looked at me, didn’t say a word and his lip started quivering. Like he was so mad that he was questioned. I’m sorry I guess my empty place was not an inclination that I should be eating. I felt like he was going to start a fight. The first manager was standing behind him as backup like he was expecting some sort of altercation. I’ve never felt so unwanted in a CB as I had today. I felt like we were inconveniencing them and that they all had better things to do besides bringing me food. When I asked the manager why his lip was quivering he just stood there in silence staring at me. As the whole circus of CB staff that surrounded us left he told the server that she should comp the ticket and we never had another visit from any staff. I guess once they comp you, they are done providing you service! I had to flag down another server from a few tables away to assure that we were not getting a ticket as I didn’t want to get arrested for not paying for the food as we left. This is not the service that anyone should have to experience and am sorry if my tone got a little loud and heated but in the end, I felt as if I didn’t say something while I was there this type of behavior will continue. Ive been to numerous CBs in my life and even have used them for catering team breakfasts in the past but know this, I will never step foot in one again and if I ever get the chance to tell my story I will sing it from the mountain tops to anyone that will listen. We ended up stopping at McDonald’s on our way home to finally get some food. It was hot. Maybe you should take some lessons on food prep from them.

This was the slowest service I’ve ever received at a Cracker Barrel. I understand the 20 minute for a table, but over 40 minutes for food. It will make me think twice before returning

My friend and I came here to eat great food we were not disappointed, service was excellent, always hard to decide what to eat here, but I chose breakfast, two eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, grits, coffee, I forgot how much food there was on this particular breakfast, so I shared with my friend. I’m truly sorry for all those who write bad reviews, their idea of food is hog slop from McDonald’s. This is good old fashioned comfort food, done well.

JUSTAWFUL. Service was good. Meatloaf tasted like dog food, corn bread was salty and not sweet at all. Broccoli was tasteless and unappealing. Salad was just iceberg lettuce. Ambiance was ok. Basically fast food quality.

It is what it is, and that’s fine. We don’t normally decide to eat here, as it’s sort of «off the beaten trail» here in Springfield, but it’s close to home, and a perfect spot to meet traveling friends/family as it’s right off the interstate and near hotels. I’m always tempted to get«fancy» at these«home style/good old fashioned country cooking» type places, and maybe that’s where the problem lies… ME, not the place itself! Keep it simple, order«favorites,» ESPECIALLY breakfast, and(I guess) you really can’t go wrong. I ordered one of their recent specials, salmon patties, and they were not bad at all, along with a side salad and mac and cheese. No wows, no complaints… Good service, in and out pretty quickly(not even much of a wait, which meant no extra $$$ spent in the«do I really need this?!?» country store!!) If you’re in the mood for some«no frills» country cooking, and want to take a break from«Mr. Evans» and/or the same tired, old fast food choices, you could do a lot worse than Cracker Barrel…

Busy place! And deservedly so! We were in town for a convention and wanted some home cookin for a change. We ordered takeout to save time. The employees were courteous, quick and our takeout waiter ‘Jef’ was super efficient! He had thought of everything even down to the salt, pepper, butter and jelly without even asking. Great shopping too if you need to grab a gift for the friends and fam back home. Chicken and dumplings are to die for and the fried okra is just like Grammy used to make — corn meal, hot oil and a hit of salt. Not the heavily breaded and fried stuff other restaurants pass off as fried okra!

A pretty typical Cracker Barrel: good food, reasonable prices, nothing outstanding but it’s dependable. This location is a bit out of the way; watch for the tiny sign to turn in by the hotel. Service was pretty good. I had the mango chicken(I think that was it, with apple chutney or some such.) It was an average chicken breast, with very good chutney. Not very big, and I was hungry after we finished. Sweetie had french toast and bacon; I sampled both and they were good. The gift shop is fun even if you don’t buy anything, and gives you something to do while you wait. The candy and pop always draw me in, of course, while Sweetie goes for the cutesie things.

I love the breakfast combos here. The country boy platter is enough food for anyone and cheap. When I go healthier it’s the haddock meal with house salad and it is fantastic. My kids love the pancakes with warm syrup. My only problem with this place is the somewhat small tables I’m sure because they are always packed. Great American food!

This Crackerbarrel is very nice and well organized. Might be the first Crackerbarrel I’ve been to where dishes are not dropped. Waiters are friendly and provide extra jam, honey, syrup ect. if you ask. The wait even when busy is not bad. The real gem are the rocking chairs on the front patio. Their great for waiting and casual conversation.

Getting hungry while starting a road trip. Needed to eat but wanted familiar food. TAHDAH! Cracker Barrel to the rescue! The usual suspects of eats and that’s just fine with me! Right off of I-70 but you have to do a few turns off some roads to get to it(directions were pretty non-existent just that big sign you can see on the highway). Service good, food good, pricing good. Works for me.

I am a fan of Cracker Barrel. I stopped by the one in Springfield OH on Friday. I had the catfish. For some reason I didn’t finish this review. So I’ll finish now. I only get to the Springfield Ohio Location once a year. The last time I was there I took my mom, and girlfriend. We had a GREAT dinner. As we ate a Thunderstorm went through town. The thunder set off the alarm in my car. The food was good as usual. As was the service. I’ll be back when I return to Ohio,

Cracker Barrel being Cracker Barrel. Country boy eatin’ and good cookin’ is just a few steps away. COUNTRYBOYEATIN’ ALERT!: Although this isn’t formally on the menu, try this out: order a full bowl of pinto beans and a full bowl of greens and couple that with a sliced onion bite with every other fork full. Boy, you ain’t had good country hills eatin’ until you have all of this with some cornbread of course!

This Cracker Barrel is located right off of I-70, tucked away behind the Hampton Inn off of Leffel lane. It can be easy to miss, but all the locals know right where it’s at. The menu is diverse, the food is exquisite, and the service is prompt and personal. The price is very reasonable for the portions.
