Crestwood Elementary School

My wife and I just moved into the area and I walk/​drive by Crestwood Elementary many times a week. We do not have kids yet so I can not attest to the staff and teaching curriculum. However, the school fits in nicely with the neighborhood. I always see parents and students on or around the campus for practice, events, and such. Thus far, it seems like a great school.

In a recent
assessment, Fairfax County
statistical information, and other online research sites, Crestwood ranks 977^th of 1,060 elementary/​primary schools in the state. The school has in recent years, experienced an incredible amount of upgrades and remodeling, bringing it into the 21^st Century. Its teachers and staff are professional and extremely community-​minded. Crestwood’s students represents both academically and socially its student test rankings. Although considerably lower rankings than its regional counterparts, it exemplifies its community of multicultural populations. We are proud of the inroads made by both Fairfax County Public Schools and Crestwood, in both its challenge to educate, acculturate and teach such a diverse community.
