Awesome dudes that cut some awesome dapper-do’s!!! It’s worth the money to get a professional cut. Real chill laid back music playing at all times and old school chairs make for a great atmosphere! Plus they offer a free beer with a haircut.

Dapper is a pretty amazing place to go, they offer a wide range of services from a simple hair cut to essential oil towels. Mica is a clutch barber he can make an ugly guy like me look like a million bucks, so hats off.

I have been to Dapper «a fine gentlemens club» many times for a hair cut and trim, and can say the following from experience and with complete confidence.
Ill give the meat and potatoes first that way you dont have read my full on review if you dont want.
Meat and Potatoes:
In my opinion, If you want a Barber It does not get better than this in Springfield. If you want a great hair cut, or wetshave this is the place. In addition, Dapper is a relaxed atmosphere that is friendly and usually full of other guys who enjoy socializing adding to the gentlemens environment. There is no rushed in and out vibe here. Come to Dapper to get a great hair cut, and relax. Men used to take pride in how they looked, Dapper gives that service back to its patrons. If you just need to get the hair out of your face then there are other places. if you want to step up your game Dapper is your home. I wont say its an old time barbershop because that makes it sound outdated, I think the best word to describe Dapper is ‘Timeless’.

First off I would like to say thank you to Sean Brownfield for opening an establishment Downtown Springfield (MO) that shares the vision and mindful service that has long been missing. Thank you for investing in our town and thank you for setting the bar for Barbery in Springfield.
I am a Springfield resident and love DWTN SGF; and have for over 12 years now. I want you to keep that in mind when you read the rest of my review. I also think its useful here to note Dapper is a barber, not a salon; there is a big difference.
I like to base all my reviews on three elements. Atmosphere, Service, Price vs Service.
Atmosphere: Fantastic, Rustic, timeless, manly. A great place to hang out.
This place kills it! The owner took many months in collecting and designing the environment. I cant get into the history behind almost every piece of furniture in the shop because there is not enough time. But I will say the story behind the two barber chairs is incredible and I have told it nearly to everyone I know. If you dont even get a hair cut please go in and ask Sean (the owner) to tell you the story of the chairs. EPIC!
When you walk in you instantly get the vibe of the shop. Its quality from the start. Well lit with a great view of DWTN.
Another element that enhances the atmosphere that isnt hung on the walls would be the other patrons that come just to hang out and talk. Usually there are about 4 – 7 men just having a good time talking about whatever. They usually welcome anyone that comes into the door and you usually end up in the conversations. You get to meet new people and never walk away a stranger. This says something about a place that even if people are not getting haircuts this is where they choose to spend their time!
Service: Solid, Classic, Full service usually with a consult, Ive always received an incredible hair cut and many great stories in the process.

and look at their menu as far as services go. The same care and attention that went into creating the menu will go into your haircut and experience.

Side Note:
There are a few good places in Springfield to get a hair cut and shave now and I think thats great! Men need to be treated better when it comes to grooming and im happy all these places are in Springfield.
Dapper set a standard I have not seen others keep, focusing on the customer rather than time, or cost per customer. When you are there its your place and you get treated like that.
Price vs. Service: Spot on!
I live my life by the moto-«only the poor can afford the best» simply meaning Quality over gimmick and quantity. I am stategic in how i spend my money, I dont waste time on things I dont like and I certainly dont want a ‘value’ haircut. The investment meets the return at Dapper. No two ways about it.

A truly great establishment for gentlemen to observe, converse and relax around other men. I’d heard about Dapper and was curious how they’d do with a hair cut and a beard trim. I keep a very full beard, but it can get a bit wild from time to time. Landon did a great job helping me reign it in a bit and get it looking real nice.
I came in as a walk-​in on the weekend and a spot was available in another hour so I stuck around to wait. A few members dropped in for a drink and struck up some very pleasant conversation. It’s a nice opportunity to sit and enjoy a Saturday afternoon; relaxed conversation with whoever stops in, a drink to pass the time and a very cool atmosphere.
This is an establishment that caters specifically to men. It provides an opportunity for men to get away from their daily responsibilities and allow them to rejuvenate amongst other gentlemen. This misunderstanding could be why Samantha R was frustrated that they wouldn’t service her. It’s not that they meant it to be rude or hateful, they just feel it is important to protect the haven of manhood that they’ve created.
I will definitely be going back and I think I’ll consider a membership. This is a unique chance to be a part of something with such character.

The guys at Dapper strive for quality in everything they do. Sean promotes a lifestyle that has been lost, meeting with friends, socializing and sharing experiences. I have learned a lot from members and all of us have shared quite a few laughs together.
In addition to it being a first-​rate barber shop, Dapper is also a place to learn. Shaving classes, scotch tastings, and with a lot more to look forward to– it allows the opportunity to continually refine and improve yourself and your daily rituals.
Dapper provides place to relax, enjoy a great haircut or shave, slow down the pace of an over-​scheduled life and to socialize with good friends just like our grandfathers and great-​grandfathers did.

Refused to give a mens style cut to a woman. Said giving a masculine cut to a woman is «opening a can of worms». Will not patronize a business with such blatant prejudice and and bigotry.
Update: Asking your friends to add reviews now, since my negative one, is a nice attempt. Saying you are a mans only salon is still wrong. What kind of business refuses eager clientele? Poor business model most definitely!
