State Farm Insurance. BEWARE!!! My wife Janice York has had her home owners insurance with State Farm for over 10 years with no claims. Over the winter we had a carport collapse under the weight of about 12 inches of ice. The experience we have had with State Farm has been a nightmare. It took them a month to get an adjuster to our home. We have had to fight for every penny owed on the claim. Our claim was passed to a new «team» every time we called and it was just like starting the process over. It has been a horrible experience. To top it all off, we get a notice in the mail that they are canceling our home owners insurance due to «recent claim activity». So let me get this straight… You take our money for 10 plus years and the first time we have a claim due a weather event, you make it a night mare to collect and then cancel our insurance. How does their slogan go… LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOR STATE FARM IS THERE, yeah right. More like a neighbor that robs your house when you are not home.
