This place is truly a community outreach organization. The women and men that work here are angels. It is 100% donation based with both donations and volunteers. The volunteers take great time and effort making sure that clothes, food, and goods are new or very gently used. Donations that come in go directly to families in need, and their system set up against fraud is iron clad. They take great care with each individual person in need, and treat their clients as people, and not as charity cases. The volunteers pull extremely long hours to adapt to the rising demand of help needed in the community. I couldn’t believe how organized their donation center was! Every single item has a place and a label. Nothing is out of sorts or ever a mess. They will take anything as far as donations go, but please don’t make them sort through your trash. It only causes longer hours for the volunteers. If you are looking for a place to donate, please consider ECHO. OR if you are looking for a place to volunteer, this center could certainly need more lifters, sorters, and drivers.

It can be surprisingly tough to find a place to donate baby items. Goodwill will not resell frequently-recalled items like car seats, toys, and pack n’ plays. ECHO, which helps families in need, gives donated items directly to the people who need them. Drop off is simple. The entire organization is volunteer-run, and the people helping are sweet as cherry pie. I will continue to donate our barely-used baby items here and would encourage others to do the same!
