Firestone Complete Auto Care

I dropped off my car today at 3:00 pm as scheduled. At 5:50 pm my car was still not inside the shop. The shop closed at 6 :00 pm. I had to leave my car overnight there and cancel some plans for weekend. I will think it over when I have to use the services from this store again.

So, after i wrote about my experience at the Springfield Firestone Service Center, someone from Firestone contacted me and went out of her way to rectify the poor experience i had and make it better. Thank you!
Today i decided to take my car to another Firestone Service Center at Fort Myer, VA for an oil change. I made an appointment and got to the service center on time. As the service rep was preparing my paperwork, i asked her how long the oil change would take. Her and the technician present stated an hour and 15 minutes. Ok. I left my car and came back an hour and 15 minutes later. My car was in the same spot i had left it. I asked the service rep if my car was ready and she said it wasn’t worked on yet. Really??? I asked for my car keys back and left the facility. She gave no applogies or anything other that saying she only had one tech working. I actually saw three techs. So her answer was bs. This is the second bad experience i’ve had with Firestone Service Centers, in a row. Don’t tell me my car is going to be ready in an hour when it’s going to take 2 or 3 hours. Be honest at least. I won’t be frequenting Firestone Service Centers anymore. Gave them too many chances. I recommend to all to stay away. Go to Jiffy Lube instead.

Told me to make an appointment a week ago, for today, 12−24−15 between 9pm-​11pm. Made the appointment and waited there for two hours. These idiots were so unwilling to help and racist f**ks. Told me that they were closing and to come back another time. What kind of service is that, made me take off from work and still didn’t get anything done. This was the last straw. Will not be coming back to these hacks.

Stay away!!! First, I call to change my appt from Tuesday to Wednesday. Show up on Wednesday for my appt at 2pm, like I scheduled it, they guy in the help desk, says I am not showing in the system like I have an appt. Apparently the lady that took my call and said I was all set, never changed my appt nor a schedule a new one. Okay, so at least they are still going to align my car, it shouldn’t take long. Thats what I tought. 1.5 hour later my car was finally moved from the parking spot where I parked it at 145pm. Is almost 5 pm and I still don’t have my car. I am about to go crazy here!!! I thought Sheehy service was slow but this place beat it. I was also talked to another customer that was here earlier that informed me that she has been to this place in less than 2 weeks 3 times. Really??? Her coming here was because she brought some tires from them and they kept deflating. People follow the advice and don’t come here, save your time and your $$. And just for your FYI, today is ¹²⁄₂₃.

Hit or miss. When the manager is working the counter I have good experiences. When he’s not, it’s awful. I waited all week to schedule an oil change appointment so I wouldn’t have to wait, right now I’m going on my third hour of my appointment to complete a 15minute oil change… I won’t be coming back for any services besides my lifetime alignment.

The most inefficient organization I’ve ever experienced. My wife dropped her car off 10:00 AM on a walk in basis. When we returned at 4:50 PM (10 minutes before they closed) we noticed her car was parked as if it was ready for pickup. To our dismay, we were told that the paperwork wasn’t done and ended up waiting for 40 minutes!!! When we went to the the front desk not only did they seemed unwilling to expedite the process; they retracted their statement and we found out they were just starting the oil change at 5:30 PM.
This store is in dire need of analysis of their entire procedures to be at a level of efficiency to be expected. It makes no sense to accept as many walk ins as they can with no good way of tracking what has been done, or when the work will be complete.
From now on, I’m going to Jiffy Lube or the dealership.

DO NOT GO HERE! I’ve given them multiple efforts with my car, always an issue whether it be non issues with my car trying to be ‘fixed’, new issues after leaving it in their care, or today’s issue: called prior hoping to avoid wasting a trip, was told they were empty but not taking appointments but to come in at 3:30, I clarified I was having issues starting my car and verified a mechanic would be there and I’d have it fixed by close if it was a starter or spark plug… I show up at 3:20, told her what I was told on the phone, she looks at me like I’m crazy and in a non question form asks If I’m leaving it til Friday, I reiterate that I’m having starter issues and the phone call. she again just looks at me and says they’re not taking anymore walk-​ins. Words can not express how terrible the staff and service is at this location, it’s been there as long as I can remember, and I’ve addressed the issues to an employee a while back and called out the Unilocal score and reviews, their response: «yeah well, no matter how bad we do its a big name in automotive, and with our location people are going to come even if it’s just based on convenience or the brand, not to mention we offer financing.»

Went to this location Monday, 10÷19÷15 at around 5:10 PM. Waited in line for about 10 minutes for the lady to ask why I came in. I told her I need the cable on my battery tighten. I would do it myself but I don’t have the tools. She looked me in the eyes and said they can’t get to my car today and can I come back tomorrow. Blank stare. My request could have been complete in less than a minute. I said the door states your open until 7pm. She said yes, but we are backed up. I said thank you and left. Mind you I was in this same location about two weeks before and dropped $ 215 on repairs. My apartment is across the street and going forward I won’t step foot in this place despite it being less than 2 blocks from where I live. I’d rather drive to a place that has better customer service! So annoyed had to write a review!

As I came in, front desk receptionist lady had an attitude for no reason. I didn’t know I had to pay when I picked up my car, but she rolled her eyes before answering to me when I asked if I should pay now.
Then it took 3 hours for my car to be ready when I actually made an appointment at 12 and dropped off at 11:55. I didn’t get the call to pick up my car until 3:05! It was outrageous. She wasn’t apologetic. She handed my paperwork and didn’t even tell me my suggestion for the brake pads etc. overall, bad customer service!

I’ve been here several times to service a few cars and have never had a bad experience. It’s conveniently located in the parking lot of Springfield Town Center, so you don’t have to sit there and wait in their lack luster waiting area. They do offer free coffee if you’re into that sort of thing.

This is the worst Firestone location ever.
I put a new set of tires on my Audi the night before I had to drive from Atlanta to Washington DC. The car was pulling to the right a bit and felt funny so I decided to stop by this Firestone on my way up to take care of the issue.
I pull in to the Firestone after driving almost 9 hrs and ask the lady at the front desk how long will it take to get an alignment. I was informed that they could put the car on the rack immediately and it would be ready in an hour. I told her I would wait for it. This was at 2:15pm.
At 3:35pm I am still sitting around waiting for my car to be fixed. I go to the front desk and wait in line for the only person working the desk (even though supposedly three people are there working the desk at that time) to finish his 20 min conversation with a customer about tires. When my turn finally arrives I ask if my car is ready and I am informed that it is ready. My initial reaction is, why didn’t they tell me? I have been sitting here waiting for over an hour for them to get it done. Anyway, Paul, the person working the front desk, then proceeds to tell me that they only adjusted the toe and that the camber and caster are out of spec but not a part of the alignment. What the hay? People, I have been working on cars in some form or another since I was a teenage. In fact, I normally do all the work on my own cars but alignments aren’t something you normally want to take on in your garage. Since when is it not apart of having an alignment done? I immediately call him out on this. He then changes his story and that in order for them to do it they would need a special tool. So, I have had Firestone’s lifetime alignment on this car for over 5 years. I’ve had the alignment done MANY times at different Firestone locations. They have never had a problem doing the alignment before. More so, if you couldn’t align the car why did it take over an hour to figure that out? Shouldn’t you have noticed within the first 15 min or so that you couldn’t do the job?
Cliff notes: I wasted over an hour of my life waiting, after already driving 9 hrs, for them to tell me that they couldn’t do the job they were supposed to do. Unapologetic that they wasted my time. STAY AWAY!

These guys are pretty good. I went here over Mr Tire after my friend had a terrible experience with them. I have a lifetime alignment and it saved me when I had a tire replaced while on travel. Definitely recommend getting the lifetime on a newer car you plan to own for a while. Pays for itself in 2 visits (~$ 150 total). I think I’m on my 5^th?
They aren’t super efficient, time-​wise, so either make an appointment or bring some reading material and be prepared to wait (or hit the mall).
Rotations are $ 20 I think.

So we took my car back today & like I said prior I would give a second review upon completion of the work needed for my vehicle. I would like to tell Spencer the manager Thank You! You are the reason we will be a returning customers & telling everyone how wonderful you handled everything!

So when first arriving in VA last year due to military relocation we needed tires on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra so we brought it to Firestone everything went fine.
Good experience would come back.
So when the AC in my car stopped blowing air went online made an appointment for Sunday July 5,2015 at 3pm even got a confirmation email that I had secured my appointment. My husband & I had errands so we dropped it off Sunday July 5,2015 at 12 – 12:30. Lady at the counter said I was wrong I didn’t receive a confirmation email because she never would approved it because the one guy they have for AC was off or I was mistaken about what store I booked the appointment at. A little upset at this point but we left the car with the understanding they would get to it Monday morning call us (either on our home phone or cell they had 3 phone numbers to choose from NEVER got a call) to tell us how much it would cost to fix the problem. So when my husband called from work to ask at 12 and they had yet to even check it… he reminded them he had to pick it up at 5pm because he had to go out of town Tuesday & we needed it fixed by this time. I know AC not working doesn’t
stop the car from going but my daughter has Epilepsy & overheating is a trigger for her to have seizures so to us it’s a matter of life or death because it takes one seizure to possibly kill her. OK back to my car problem… My husband & I still did not hear from then when he came home at 4:30pm on Monday July 6,2015 so we went up there & my car had been looked at but nobody called then found out they had to order the part before they could fix it so we have a car with NO AC so my husband had to go out of town by himself & my daughter & I are at home because it’s too dangerous for her to be in a hot car for any period of time. Please note the guy did not charge us «yet» the 45.00 diagnosis fee but will have to pay it when we gets it fixed.
I am still getting it fixed at Firestone because I am hoping & praying that this was a big screw up day & they redeem themselves… So Saturday when we can take our car back it better be done when they say or never again. So I might revise my review at that time.

Generally slow, takes hours to get your car looked at. High possibility that my car’s wiring was damaged. Have filed a complaint with their corporate office.

I’m A-​typical girl when it comes to my car. Went in today to get my inspection and two tires replaced. The service was wonderful– I was told what was recommended, but it wasn’t forced on me, and they didn’t make me feel like I was a stupid girl like most car places. Will definitely be back!

I had an appointment for 9 am and was told that it would take 60 – 75 minutes to put on two new tires. I was then told at 10:30 that it would only take another 20 minutes to finish. I didn’t get my car back until 11:30. The lady behind the counter was rude. I went to this location 2 years ago and had no problems. After this experience, I will not be going back.

Came in to fix my car’s alignment. You really can’t beat firestone’s lifetime alignment pricing of less than $ 200. Robert R at the front desk was very helpful. He explained in detail how my tie rod ends would soon need to be fixed in the next couple of months. It was helpful information, and I didn’t feel like he was trying to oversell any services I didn’t need. The car was ready in the time he said it would take (1.5 hours) and now drives straight. Will definitely be going back.

The service at this place is awful, the only reason I even gave 2 stars is because they do good oil changes. 3 times I have given this place a chance for an oil change because of their great prices, but all 3 times have been awful. 4 hours is the minimum wait time each time I have gone, and I have had an appointment each time! Unless you want to devote your entire day to getting an oil change that would take 15 minutes anywhere else, stay away from this place!!!
Also, today after my oil change, the car had a candy wrapper on the floor and a dirty cough drop that had been spit back into the wrapper on the seat. GROSS.
On a good note, the lady who is usually at the front desk (can’t remember her name, but she has blue tips on her hair!), is super nice and has great customer service.

These people were rude and I felt like I was ripped off. We have told them that we wanted to keep the tire punctured by a nail and will try to salvage it since it was 3 months old and was borderline repairable. After we had paid the new tires and service, I mentioned that we shouldn’t be charged for disposal fee because we were taking the tire. The guy at the register asks, «If 5 (I can’t remember how much) dollars means to you,» implying that I should pay it and I don’t need that money. Really?
Then the other guy brings the tire and informs us that he had already slashed the tire and then went on about Firestone lawyers, etc. Really, their lawyers are relying on these guys to interpret the law?
No way, I’m coming back to thugs and thieves.

Wow! What a waste of time. Made an appointment for opening at 0700 am. I figured being the first in the door would be quicker than a later morning appointment. I was quoted 1.5 hours for a brake inspection. Three hours and twenty minutes later I am told the results. NOT work completed, results of inspection only. Waiting room was freezing. It was 12 degrees outside. Customers had to keep jackets on to stay warm.
Do yourself a favor, go to the dealer or anywhere else!
I used to use Firestone exclusively. Last few visits are like going to a place that enjoys wasting your time! They did not only loose a customer, they lost four cars. I own two Mustangs, an Explorer, and a Pilot. All four are going elsewhere.
Not anymore! Last time!
