The food here is very good, they serve bread with their spinach artichoke dip instead of chips, which few restaurants do around here! It’s clean but cramped and can get loud when busy.

Our fave pizza place in town. The house salad is amazing and the Grandiose pizza is delicious! The whole family loves a trip to Garbo’s.

The location is very cozy. Quiet and quaint. The staff was very friendly. I had the lasagna and it was alright. Nothing to complain about just wasn’t amazing or anything. The portion was kind of small. My husband had a spinach and artichoke calzone and it was very good! The portion size was huge! The drinks are very very very yummy! Great selection.

Called to get a pie, when I asked about the minimum for a delivery I was rudely told that they under no circumstances have ever delivered and to read their website. If this is the experience over the phone I’ll pass. No place serving food claiming to be from«The Hill» would ever survive in Saint Louis with that type of customer service.

The house salad is my favorite-big, flavorful, filing. The variety of pizza is plentiful and eating local is plus for the owners and community. Love this spot.

Really bad. I thought from all the positive Unilocal reviews and the nice location in West Chesterfield, that this pizza joint might be a hidden gem. I was so wrong. We ordered a «southwest» salad to start which consisted of lettuce, olives, and occasional bits of chicken. Nothing southwest about it and not very satisfying. Unfortunately, we ordered a pizza, not knowing about«St. Louis style» pizza. Google it and you’ll learn about the artificial goop known«provel cheese», nonexistent sauce, and a thin pre-formed cracker for a crust. It was just revolting. Even hungry after the gym I couldn’t eat more than a few pieces before I gave up and went back to the crappy salad. Sadly, there are better pizzas in the freezer isle than Garbo’s. St Louis style pizza has a strange midwestern cult following similar to cashew chicken. Advice — Stay far away from Garbo’s if you love pizza. Go to Big Slice Pizza, Rosatti’s, or Old Chicago if want a good pie in Springfield with real cheese and real crust. Hell, even Domino’s or Papa John’s are better bets…

We recently ate here for our first time, and we were blown away! The staff was amazing, it was a good environment, and the pizza was to die for! We were amazed at the quality of the pizza. We have decided it’s the best, and nothing can top it! We can’t wait to go back for more!

Visiting from Boston, I was dying to try St. Louis-style thin crust. Garbos was a take out option for lunch. We ordered the combo pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, peppers and onions… and I’d wished I’d ordered two, or at least the XL. We snarfed the pizza while we watched The Open, waiting for a FedEx delivery.

Not impressed. called in our order when I got there waited 7~8 minutes before any one asked if I needed help. While waiting got to hear the servers cuss out the bartender. Very unprofessional. As far as the pizza… Got a large bacon and mushroom. Toppings were very sad. Pizza was almost burnt. All in all not happy. Hopefully this isn’t the norm for this place since its in my neighborhood and the only pizza place. Not what I was expecting.

Great place to eat. The service is great. Pizza on their upstairs patio is a lot of fun on any summer night!

St. Louis style pizza with the best sauce ever. It’s out of the way but worth the time. Parking is it’s biggest problem.

Food: I would describe this as a close cousin of St. Louis-style pizza. I grew up in St. Louis and I was craving provel cheese pizza on thin crust with a sweet sauce. They nailed the crust and sauce, but use a Mozzerela/Provel blend instead. If you want Provel-only just ask. They will make it that way by request. Service: Friendly, but somewhat inefficient. We waited a few minutes in the lobby before we were acknowledged and told we could sit anywhere. It took 5 – 10 minutes to get a menu. We did get our pizza quickly once it was ordered. Also, our waiter brought my 3-year old a flower(it was Valentine’s Day). That was nice and I appreciated it very much.

Love this place. Great salad, flavorful pizza, nice environment. Always consistent with their quality of food and very laid back. Lots of ingredients to choose from and they all taste fresh! Nice beer selection and not over priced.

I heard this was a great place for St. Louis-style pizza. The crust was good, but other than that the toppings were bland. I mean, if you order a pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza it should taste VERY Italian. It didn’t. It was bland. A sure sign that they purchase cheap ingredients for their toppings. I had to sprinkle my own oregano on it just so it tasted like something. Highly dissapointed. I was hoping to find a local owned business that rivaled Imo’s.

This is one of the best pizza places in town. Salad is really good. Not overly priced but a large pizza with their delic salads and a couple drinks starts to get a little pricey for lunch imho. This is one of my favorite spots for beer drinking out on the patio in the summer time.

Great little pizza place! As someone else has mentioned, the seating is a little cramped downstairs. Unfortunately we did not check out the upstairs part. Toppings are extremely flavorful and the thin crust we had was paper thin. The thin crust allows you to get the full flavors from the toppings. I would suggest this place to any of my friends or family.

Garbo’s is fantastic. Great pizza on super thin crust, and their house salad is terrific. The small is pretty big. Great service and friendly staff. Love the location also. I have never had anything I did not like here.

Stopped in with the lady and got some pizza. I had a personal meat pizza and she had a custom pizza. We like to do the personals and swap slices. Just fun. The crust is cracker thin and ok, but the toppings are what make Garbo’s pizza great. We both really like the cheese they use the toppings are good too. Really the only reason I dropped a star off of this review was the seating. Its cramped, and oddly matched. Bar meets restaurant meets clown car. Upstairs seating is better but downstairs is just claustrophobic. I get the feeling that at times the place must just get packed out and they kept adding tables closer and closer together to get everyone in. So call ahead and get an order to go. Then enjoy the hot cracker thin crust pizza. It really is worth the trouble.

Great pizza and really great house salad. Canadian bacon was a little light but overall really good. Order cheesy delight and add hamburger. You get better toppings that way. They charge a lot for extra toppings so don’t bother with shrooms go for meat if paying per topping. Bartender was friendly and had everything ready. Watch out Rocoos. Might have beat you today.
