Gasoline Alley the Salon

This is the best place for curls in area.
Before coming here I was told I would red to straighten my curls to get a hair cut.
Being the Naturalista that I am, and years of YouTubing and delving in
I knew I could cut my hair curly.
My stylist, Rachel does a great job. She is very knowledgable about all types of curly hair. The salon specializes in the Ouidad technique.
It’s great that I don’t have to trek all over to find a quirky salon that fits my needs!

Amanda is so great with curly hair. She has been cutting my hair for a while and I am so glad I found someone that has a passion for and knows how to cut very curly hair. I had gone to an ethnic salon prior that overcharged and basically just trimmed my hair. I actually wear my hair down now instead of a ponytail every day!

I can say honestly it is the best salon I have ever been too! I keep trying to break away (I live over 45 minutes away) and I keep coming back after seeing what else is out there. I’m never disappointed and my stylist (the owner Michelle) always listens and never gets cut happy. She has saved my hair from friend cuts and experimental dye jobs. Now let’s talk about the atmosphere… unique, artsy, clean, and has a wonderful vibe. Michelle is amazing and so nice to talk too! If you go there you will extremly happy. Also from the outside you think your in the wrong place (its next to industrial parks). Just think of it as a hidden gem! When you walk into the salon its so different then the outside.

I’m a Hispanic with very, very curly hair. For years I’ve been going to a Latin stylist who was great with color and blow dry, but when it came to cutting my curly almost kinky hair, she only would do layers for body, but I never obtained the shape I was looking for. I researched and came across the Ouidad Carve & Slice methodology.
I live in CT and just had 2 options within reasonable driving distance. After some research I choose Gasoline Alley and I’m so glad I did!
Rachel, a certified Ouidad stylist was amazing! During the consultation she was able to understand what I was aiming for. She explained the process and then went straight to work on my hair! She was super nice and gave me cleaning and styling tips. She also took the time to get to know me which made the time there pleasant.
I will be there again in 14 weeks and will be bringing my daughter (who has the same crazy hair) as well.
I strongly recommend this salon.

I get my haircut at Gasoline Alley. I love the atmosphere and energy of the place. Very cool and upbeat. I always get a wonderful haircut with Lauren and would highly recommend this salon.

I have been getting my hair cut here for a couple years now. They do OUDIAD hair cuts here. If you have curly hair the cut really helps maintain your hair. They also teach you how to style your hair.
I recently got my hair dyed here, they matched the color I wanted very well.

I had a facial here (groupon) and really loved it! Rhonda (I believe?) was very nice and flexible when I wanted to add an additional back treatment. I came back for an eyebrow wax which came out just the way I wanted. A hidden gem, I would definitely recommend this salon/​spa.

I have been going to Gasoline Alley for a few years now. Although it is not in a neighborhood where you would expect to find a hair salon it is a hidden gem. There is always available free parking, a plus in Springfield. Last I checked, it is the only salon around with a OUIDAD certified stylist, there are actually two at the salon. If you have curly hair — Ouidad is a definite friend. The salon is always clean, never a loud stressful environment like other salons. I have always been taken within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time.
All in all — I am big fan.

I had a facial today that I bought on Groupon. I haven’t been to this salon in years, and now they’ve added a spa. Rhonda took excellent care of me. The facial was fabulous. But more than that, I really liked her. No heavy sales pitch– at all. Just some nice conversation when appropriate, and quiet when that was right. It was a very pleasant experience and I will go back again– for sure.

Great energy as you enter the building. I had a basic facial, and it was wonderful. Rhonda did a nice job explaining what my skin needed and what she was doing, without talking too much. I was able to relax and just enjoy. The Spa is located in a very industrial looking part of the city, but don’t be intimidated by that. I would recomend this place to anyone. They have a full «menu» of services, but I only had a facial so I can’t speak to any other services they offer.
