Not a bad Jamaican restaurant. Definitely not the best in the Springfield area(try Yaad in I.O.) but very good. I’m a bit biased because one of my bffs and her whole family are from Jamaica and I’m very familiar with truly authentic Jamaican food. To the point that I never would tell her mother I’ve eaten here. I’d lo say LOL butt they’re serious. I recently found out that Golden Crust was actually a chain restaurant! I was surprised because they’ve definitely got the ambiance of a small corner store/a Ma and pap kind of feel. Parking absolutely sucks(no lot just on street. On wilbraham road to boot.) there’s not a parking lot– you just pray for a street spot in front. The food is ok– it takes a while when you order and idk why because it’s not made to order. The dumplin balls are great though a little greasy.

I don’t stop often, but once a year I have to. Every year I throw a big wine and cheese party. At midnight, I serve up some beef patties(with coco bread of course). They are a crowd favorite. Every year the staff is super helpful. I end up getting a case of frozen patties, and a bag of coco bread. Delivered without a flinch. They remind me how to cook these up, and I am on my way. I do usually grab some treat on the way out the door. This year there was a liver special of the day. Absolutely awesome. While Golden Krust may be a chain, there is an absolute home cooked feel to this place. I need to stop in more often. New Years resolution!

Not a pretty restaurant(sort of a dive) nor the nicest location in town or service… but very authentic and delicious Jamaican Food. The beef patties were very fresh and delicious, the same for the jerk chicken. Many items on the menu aren’t always available, so have a plan b order when looking at menu. Best to just order to go.
