When Mom passed away, I had a whole house full of useful gently used clothing, equipment and belongings I couldn’t sell at a garage, sale, but which were still very useful. So, one carload at a time, I dropped off at the drop off entrance at Goodwill. They gratefully accepted a wide variety of donations, giving me a reasonable receipt each time. They helped me unload, too! It took a while to transport, but they are nearby, and it provided things that Goodwill could sell or redonate, to do good for those less fortunate or to raise money to pay staff who are usually from less fortunate circumstances. Mom would have liked that! They really helped me a lot!

Pierre Cardin shirt $ 5.00 with polka dots, hush puppy shoes $ 10.00. The interesting part is I was debating on if it was too expensive or not. Hell yeah! I will barter with the best of them to my surprise. It was a «colored» tag sale, so it is 50% off these items. A sense of accomplishment ensues and I pat myself on the back. This is a big ol Goodwill sitting right on route 22 so a car is essential. Some of the items are even new. I saw women shoes that had the infamous«metal sensor.» The store doesn’t remove the sensor, which is all on you. I have been to many Goodwill. I think this has been the most expensive. The clothes are reasonably cleaned and organized well that is a plus. If you come here and did not get anything, you lack patience. You have to get your hands dirty and dive in. There has to be something for everyone here. Maybe a pack of dominos without dominos in it!

I like this Goodwill and have been going here since they opened. The prices here are a bit more expensive on some items in comparison to other thrift stores ive gone to. and they get a bit pricey for items that arent 100 percent mint. like garage sale quality items. Example. If you are going to spend 15 bucks on a saucepan you might as well dump the extra cash on a brand new one at target. right? Not on a somewhat well used one that has a crack in the handle. no bargain in that. My fiancée gets some pretty good clothes and shoe deals here. I have as well. Pretty good daily ticket sales(like green half off for a day.etc.mondays are ticket + whole store 25 percent off) CDs and DVDs are relatively cheap. but DVD boxed sets in terms of prices. you are better off going to walmart … BTW always check the DVD/CD cases before buying as sometimes items have been stolen from the case or its the wrong DVD/CD. another thing ive noticed thru the years they have gotten pricey on used Video Games that are usually scratched up. but they do have a 5 day return policy with reciept. Nice used book selection .ive gotten some great vintage toys, comics and board games thru the years here. although they seem to have cut back on toys and comics tho lately. ton of vinyl too. Staff is super nice and store management is very good/friendly.most especially so in the last few years. a hell of alot better since they opened a few years back. The first manager they had in store when they opened(at least when i was shopping) had short black hair and buddy holly glasses. wow was she very rude/surly…tended to treat both customers and staff like garbage when the fancy struck her. i almost didnt want to go here anymore as it was an uncomfortable feeling. you never yell at your staff in front of customers or yell at customers for that matter. i mean heated like. anyway good move replacing her goodwill. its been like a breath of fresh air in there since.

My wife loves visiting Goodwill stores while traveling, and after seeing the homes in nearby Summit, my wife’s first thought was«if there’s a Goodwill around here, it HAS to be good!» So, off we went. Nearly stepped in a loaded diaper as I got out of the car in the parking lot. EEw. My wife, the goodwill expert, had some serious reservations about this store, especially in the kids section. The boys/girls clothes were mixed together, and weren’t sorted by size. Hmm. She left that section annoyed pretty quickly. The men’s section was, oddly, sorted by colors. I generally don’t shop for specific colors, but find my size and then go from there. Looking at 700 blue shirts and trying to find one I like in my size is an exercise in tedium. Plus, they have waay too many T Shirts… time to donate ‘em elsewhere! It was also a little pricey for a Goodwill. I grabbed a Nike dri-fit exercise shirt, thinking $ 4 or so… nope, $ 7.99 at the register. Huh? Used? Wife made the same comment, that prices were high for a Goodwill. Verdict? Not the quality of merchandise we expected from this(ahem) «prosperous» area… disappointing store. On the other hand, the joy of Goodwill is that on any given day, deals can be had. We just didn’t score much today.

They didn’t have much here. I think they charge a bit more compared to other thrift stores. For some reason I thought they were bigger but when I went inside it wasn’t what I expected. They do offer discounts on certain color ticket items depending on the day. They are still reasonably cheap but I expected better finds and didn’t.

This is one of the decent thrift stores around the area. If you’re willing to look you’re bound to find at least one thing you like. The place is sort of messy for being a chain thrift store. I don’t have a problem searching through stacks of books, but it can get tiring lifting the mess aside. On certain day, specified colored tags get 50% off I think? That’s pretty cool. I got two books for like $ 2. I don’t get why they put«higher end» branded bags in the glass counter however. I think that’s dumb. It’s hard to see the bags and I don’t want to have to always ask someone if I can see this bag or that bag etc. That’s annoying.
