Zero stars for ZERO service! I spent over $ 200& they couldn’t bag groceries OR load into cart! SHAMEFUL!!!

I’ve picked up groceries from the Hy-Vee a couple times now and have mixed feelings. The specialty cheese section is large and I’m looking forward to eating my way through a lot of the offerings, but some other areas of the store have been hit or miss. The swordfish was great, but the steaks were not of very good quality. Be sure to look through the weekly ad and take advantage because they do have good specials. Otherwise, I’ve found that a lot of their regular pricing is higher than other grocery stores in town. Last week I activated my fuel saver + perks card so I’m interested to see how much of a discount I actually start to see at the gas pump.

This is a stop for me while traveling for work and now if ever I am out and about elsewhere, I will stop by a Hy-Vee as well. They have a great selection of organic items and staff are very friendly.

Loved the store, it’s kind of like Whole Foods meets Ralphs. Very nice selection of fresh produce, great bakery(we bought an assortment of cupcakes for the whole family). I am spoiled because I am used to my Whole Foods in California, so I didn’t LOVE HyVee the way I love Whole Foods(yes, I love WF!), but I am glad a place like this is finally available to the people of Springfield! Yay for HyVee! Now they need a Trader Joe’s! :)

So far so good. I live close by and now do the marjotiy of my shopping here. Since it’s a grocery store the things most people are likely concerned about is quality and variety — Hyvee, an employee owned store, seems to(mostly) nail both, especially where variety goes as they their broad offerings are, at least in town, hard to beat. Here are some random likes and dislikes: Like: Bakery(good and fairly cheap bread options). Beer selection(possible the second best in town, and best for a full grocery store). Take-out food options(pretty good and reasonably priced). Dislike: Some prices are higher than elsewhere. Cheese selection is good, but not as good as it could be given the size of hte space dedicated to it(this is almost hardly dislike). Produce — this has been my biggest gripe. On more than one occassion I have seen and/or have accidentally purchased produce that was either not properly stored or shipped. This is to say, I find the freshness of their offerings inconsistant, and moreso than other stores in the area.

Love this grocery store! Lots of organic options, tons of healthy snack bars and the seafood is good. The bath soaps are super moisturizing and smell like the spa.

The new grocery store is employee owned and seems to pay off with better service better products and then overall fun environment to do my grocery shopping. Large selection of natural foods fresh produce wine spirits and even the restaurant in the store.
