This gentleman, while very skilled at what he does, is not very nice at times. Brought shoes to get redone a few years ago and he was not pleased that I wanted to use leather instead of rubber on the soles. Also, prefers to sell half sole resole instead of full soles. Not sure why, maybe more profit. The shoe and heal we’re ok but my prior soles were burgundy so he painted over the half that was remaining with black dye and left the new half sole (which looked nice) natural. Didn’t like the painted look. Would have preferred a full sole that he wouldn’t sell me. He’ll get the job done but may over charge, not like what you want and might grumble several times between a half smile.
